We visited during the week with friends and by booking ahead we were able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the views. The Menu along with several Specials was varied and we chose the crusted Barramundi served with salad and chips which was... good value. All staff were friendly and service was great. More

Chef on the night was unable to cope with 12 meals. Some were cold. When we asked for a couple of minutes in the microwave the chef refused and the manager had to step in. Other diners also had complaints. Manager was apologetic but chef... needs to understand customers are important. Mash potatoe was deb, so a bit of a cheat for a $40 meal. More

As previous residence of cairns northern beaches we often visited this premises and always return on holidays. On this occasion we found the children meals to be extremely disappointing. We are not big eaters but found these to be exceptionally small for our 6 and... 8 year old boys, resembling perhaps toddler meals. My husband ordered the chicken schnitzel which came only with chips not salad as advertised on the menu. I ordered the salmon which was lovely with fresh tasting vegetables and the barramundi spring rolls were lovely. Next time I would order pizzas off the main menu for the children to share. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. More

We are staying at Palm Cove and rang about the courtesy bus and spoke to Jamie she was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to organise the courtesy bus to bring us down for Lunch and also booked the table. We normally treat ourselves to a Sunday night dinner however this restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered Tassy salmon fillet for main. This was meant to be crispy skin on a bed of creamy mash and broccolini. The meal arrived with no crispy skin and... the most watery mash ever. Definitely not real potatoes.Probably from an instant packet. We complained to the manager who offered a refund. But this should not happen in the first place. Our table was very wobbly .we got given a few coasters and told to fix it ourselves. (not happy doing that because we're a old couple.) We ordered garlic bread with bacon and cheese on top as a starter and to my surprise only a... few little piece of bacon in the middle,the cheese was ok.By the way you have to pay extra for the cheese and bacon , that's ok with us but not for a couple of crumbs of bacon. The main meal not what I expected. after putting a complaint in I was offered a replacement but no thank you . I thank them for the offer and left not to come back there again. More

Main was seafood marinara the pasta was sticky and dry with 2 prawns 1 mussel and 2 pieces of calamari and... still looking for the fish. Table service was lacking and menu's left on table. We asked for a table next to the window and were told ok but on arrival we were seated in main area. In summary, we won't be back here again and would not recommend it to anyone else. More

We paid and booked the platter one week in advance but had to wait an hour for it to arrive at the table. We were with other members who ordered a la carte and they were finished their mains, dessert and were having coffee when... our platter came. We had queried the platter on 4 separate occasions after we arrived at our 6pm booking with one staff asking: “do you still want the platter?” We say yes only because we had already paid and had already waited half an hour! When the platter finally came, it did not live up to the portions as advertised in the picture in the newsletter (less prawns, scallops, less oysters) and contained lots of salad and rice noodle to cover the gaps. We are thinking twice about dining at YKBC restaurant again. More

So after 2 + years of going to the Yorkeys Boat club every Wednesday night with a group of 4-7 and tonight with 12 I am sad to see how much this place has deteriorated. The staff were great and trying to do their best... to the extent that while I waited at the restaurant bar for my drink for approx 10 min, I viewed the sole struggling host take patrons meal orders, escort diners to there seating, transverse to the kitchen returning meals that were rejected and finally serve me my drink, he politely apologised no less than 3 times as he brushed passed conducting his duties. The management of the facility have a lot to answer for along with a change of policies or a change of chef which has resulted in a real downward slide that I personally saw coming a few months ago. The restaurant was near empty at 6:00pm when we arrived and our first meal came out at approx 7:15, the last meal at our table came out near 30 min later, Several dishes were substandard to say the least including missing items, cold chips, raw squid and other issues that were definitely not considered as attention to detail. From a group of 12 and have at least half of the patrons question there meals timing or quality is completely unacceptable for anyone, let alone a group of regular club members. Just to add to the hapless experience the room temperature upon questioning was a brisk 21degrees which had most of the table trying to rush their over priced under delivered meal and get the hell out quick smart. The group decision has already confirmed that we will not be returning next week for our regular Wednesday night outing and we are now looking for a new venue. What a beautiful spot overlooking the harbour the same can’t be said for the food Asian noodle salad with tchicken I couldn’t eat the chicken, tasteless and really dry the salad just out of a bag from the supermarket with sweet chilli sauce out of... a bottle. To order you must walk 100 metres to the long queue, order from a grumpy employee, get a number and pay then walk all the way back to your table. The food is processed, frozen with a morsel of fresh bland slaw. The prices are... steep, especially drinks. Very average. More

Popped into Yorkies Boat Club for dinner. Ordered 2 medium cooked 300g Rib Fillet steaks ($39 each). SHOCKING! The worst steak we’ve ever had. Overcooked, tiny (under weight), full of fat and gristle. Absolutely the worst ever. Never again!

Nice filling breakfast on Sundays The menu for breakfast provides for a considerable variety of cooked food and is reasonably priced. Open from 8.00am the Club also provides an exquisite location adjacent to a flotilla of moored boats in the marina. A great relaxing location and good service personnel. ??

Please note: Photo ID is required for membership applications and renewals, and will need to be presented in person when retrieving your new card, as per AUSTRAC Regulations. Memberships expires at the end of each financial year. By applying for membership you are agreeing to be bound by YKBC policies, the YKBC constitution and relevant laws and regulations.

TIER POINTS

Tier points reflect your rating grade, the higher your rating grade the better your discounts in the bar. Tier points are based on the last 3 months of your spend and turnover within the club, so the more you visit the higher the go. Tier points are not redeemable and are not affected by cashing in loyalty points.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each time you make a purchase within the club or you play the pokies, you are accruing points that you can redeem for YKBC Club cash! You can check your points balance or redeem your points at the kiosk next to the gaming room.

Club points expire on the 30th of June each year. 

HOW MANY TIERS ARE THERE?

There are 4 tiers in the Loyalty Rewards programs and each tier offers special benefits. Being a Loyalty Rewards cardholder entitles you to special benefits and promotions. Not only that, when you earn sufficient points you’ll move up the tiers and enjoys additional benefits. (Coral, Arafura, Carpentaria & Pacific)

HOW DO I EARN POINTS?

You earn points by using your card every time you visit the club. Each time you make a purchase at the bar, bistro or by inserting your card in the machine when you play the pokies.

WHAT TIER AM I ON?

When you swipe your card in one of the reward kiosks your loyalty rewards tier will be displayed on the welcome screen.

MOVING BETWEEN TIERS

Your tier is determined by the amount of Loyalty Rewards points you have earnt each month, and are calculated over a 3 month range to decide your tier.
