H Motor yacht for sale

The 35.3m (115.7ft) GRANDE 36M features a highly efficient displacement-to-planing hull form, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by up to 30 percent compared to standard hull designs. She is of GRP and carbon fibre construction and built to RINA classification by the Italian shipyard Azimut. Her exterior design is by Alberto Mancini and Achille Salvagni styled her interiors, giving her all-Italian flair.

On the sun deck is a wet bar and U-shaped bench seating beneath the hardtop with a sun lounge aft. The upper deck aft has two lounging areas, one beneath the overhang and another in full sun, as well as a buffet bar. To port the sidedeck leads to a foredeck lounge with seating, a large sunpad and a glass jacuzzi.

The main deck aft has an al fresco lounge with a sofa and chaise longue seating that is served by a wet bar. Steps aft lead down to the large swim platform and beach club with rain shower, while the starboard sidedeck leads up to the foredeck lounge.

An open-plan main saloon has two lounge areas, one with sofa seating the other with armchairs and huge picture windows combining with cut-down bulwarks to deliver exceptional views. The upper deck has the wheelhouse forward with a formal dining area aft surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass that slides away to open the space on three sides.

The 36M TRIDECK welcomes 10 guests in five cabins. There are four en suite guest cabins on the lower deck; two double VIP suites aft and two twin cabins forward of them. Forward of the guest suites is the crew mess and accommodation for five crew.

Forward on the main deck is the owner's suite, with huge picture windows either side. It features an island king-sized double berth, a lounge area, and en suite with shower room forward. Aft of the owner's suite, the galley and dayhead are off the lobby.

The relaunch of 105m mega yacht ‘H’ , also known as Project 1050H, is one of the most exciting and revolutionary yacht industry projects of recent times. Oceanco , the renowned Dutch shipyard, have reinforced their reputation for taking on ambitious and bold challenges on this unique passion project.

Beginning life in 2000, before the industry was so mindful of the environment impact of yacht building, this huge yacht was selected for a complete transformation. The owner’s vision demanded a rethink of the physical attributes but also compliance with the highest modern standards for technology and sustainability.

What Oceanco have delivered in ‘H’ is remarkable, reducing the construction timetable by at least a year, while still maintaining their luxury pedigree. This timesaving, in itself, reduced the environmental impact of the build and demonstrates the possibilities for future owners. Oceanco Marketing Director Paris Baloumis commented at the launch “It is our ambition that this landmark project will inspire owners of existing yachts to benefit … while adding value to their ownership experience as well as the planet.”

Now complete, ‘H’ also boasts a refreshed interior by Reymond Langton Design and a few especially exciting elements including an exclusive owners’ deck, guest accommodation for up to 32 in 16 cabins, elevator, on deck dance floor, full spa and beauty salon and last but not least a piano originally belonging to Elton John.

The first thing that catches the eye is a large waterfall at the stern, spilling over from the 23-foot-long main-deck infinity pool. It’s a theatrical nod to the yacht’s exterior transformation, which saw 26 feet added to the steel hull at the stern and seven feet to the forward deck line. The extra length accommodates the owner’s request for a large pool aft that is designed with a raising dance floor. It also gives the vessel, originally launched in 2000 as  Al Mirqab , a sleeker, more modern profile. The next owner, F1’s Force India boss and now fugitive Vijay Mallya, renamed it Indian Empress . He was known for throwing extravagant parties aboard.

“The yacht was very boxy before, so we cut the entire superstructure off and rebuilt it to be as sleek as possible,” Jonathan Bevan, Reymond Langton’s exterior designer, tells Robb Report . Bevan also designed H3 ’s two “mini-me” Compass tenders—a 36-foot limousine and 34-foot open sportboat—that look like the mothership.

The owner’s deck and upper-deck aft areas—once used to host large parties for the opening night of the Monaco Grand Prix—have both been reduced in length. Coupled with a new enclosed gym on the sun deck, it gives the profile a more balanced look.

Bevan also eschewed straight lines in favor of contoured bulwarks that run the length of the yacht. “We’ve added a rolling-wave undercut that reflects the surface of the sea below and gives a sense of motion when the boat is moving,” he says.

Another noteworthy feature is the 33-foot-long video corridor. It links the welcome lounge and bar with the main salon, as well as concealing the tender bays on either side. On our tour, a floor-to-ceiling aquarium was displayed, but it can be used for all types of media, from videos to artwork. In the welcome lounge, an LED screen or “tech window” is linked to a camera pointing outside to give guests the choice between a virtual view or normal TV.

The interior has been taken back to the bare skin and designed anew. “A refit of this scale has not been done before. We wanted to create something dramatic and unrecognizable that can be enjoyed by family as well as for entertaining,” Reymond Langton’s interior designer, Elizabeth Kozlova, tells Robb Report .

Custom art runs throughout the yacht, including leather wall panels by Helen Amy Murray, woven metal by Sophie Mallebranche and decorative glass by Bernard Pictet. A palette of ivory and taupe tones combines with fiddleback sycamore, light oak, soft nubucks, and Foglizzo leathers that contrast with bronze and nickel detailing. The en suites and day heads are dressed in light marbles, such as Calacatta Vagli, Crema Delicato, and backlit quartz.

In the main foyer, a round Bianco Lasa marble floor frames a glass elevator that runs from the main deck to the bridge deck. The dedicated owner’s deck has a full-beam stateroom with walk-in wardrobes and an en suite. A private beauty salon and a study can be used as two additional guest cabins. The owner’s lounge has sofas, casual dining for 14, three Lasvit glass chandeliers, and two backlit infinity mirrors on the same level.

The yacht’s gross tonnage increased from 3,045GT to 3,521GT during the rebuild, which gave the designers more room to play with in an already high-volume vessel. They responded with high ceilings, more accommodation to sleep the 32 crew, and a full-beam VIP that serves as a second master, with private use of the bridge deck aft. Six guest cabins on the main deck bring total guest accommodations up to 20. On the lower deck is a destination spa with a hammam and sensory shower, a hair salon, and massage and beauty rooms.

Powered by triple, military-spec MTU 20V 1163 TB93 diesel engines for a massive 30,000 combined horsepower, H3 hit 30 knots during sea trials. That’s an impressive top end for a yacht this size, but then again, everything else about the new H3 is extraordinary.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocketed potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to charter in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

€1M price drop on Azimut motor yacht H

The 31.28 metre Azimut motor yacht H , listed for sale by Max Bulley at Y.CO , has seen a major price drop of €1,000,000.

Constructed in GRP by Italian yard Azimut , H sports an exterior courtesy of Stefano Righini . Salvagni Architetti -interiors sleep 10 guests in five cabins, comprising a main deck master cabin, with two VIP cabins, a double cabin and a twin cabin found on the lower deck. Five crew members are housed in three cabins.

Stand out features on this yacht for sale include a Jacuzzi on the sun deck surrounded by sun pads and benefitting from panoramic views. Elsewhere, guests are treated to a wet bar and an al fresco dining table for up to 10 guests. The spacious foredeck boasts array of sun loungers, pads and seating with a Bimini top providing shade.

Inside, her main saloon is decked out with futuristic seating forward of a formal dining area for up to 10 guests. Large windows provide plentiful natural light throughout, a trend that continues in the cabins. Aft is a fully equipped galley.

Twin MTU diesel engines provide a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. A range of 1,000 nautical miles is possible at a speed of 12 knots.

H is now asking €9,900,000.

'I beg to differ': F.A.I.T.H. official clashes with Volusia councilman on affordable housing

A nonprofit official pushed back recently against a Volusia County Council member's opposition to affordable housing incentives .

Jackie Mole is co-chair of F. A.I.T.H., a nonprofit organization which advocates for action on local issues such as affordable housing, flooding and criminal justice. The name of the group stands for Fighting Against Injustice Towards Harmony, and it has members from religious congregations across Volusia County.

The F.A.I.T.H. group held its Action Assembly for Affordable Housing and Flooding on March 18 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church Port Orange, which was expected to draw about 1,400 people.

In an interview with The News-Journal, Mole talked about affordable housing and shared his thoughts about comments made this month by District 1 Councilman Don Dempsey.

Dempsey opposed changes to Volusia County's Comprehensive Plan to incentivize affordable housing construction, such as expedited permitting. The changes are part of the county's five-year affordable housing plan adopted in 2022.

The council ultimately voted to put in scaled-back changes.

Dempsey, an attorney with real-estate investments , voiced opposition to giving preferential treatment to affordable housing developers.

"We need to just let the market play itself out and quit letting government pretend that we're the cure-all for all the issues, so I'm a hard no on this," Dempsey said at the time. "I think whenever we have an opportunity to stay out of people's lives in a free economy, we need to."

Mole said he disagrees with that approach.

"I beg to differ that the market can handle it because I believe if the market had handled it, it would have handled it (already). In the meantime, people are still suffering," Mole said.

Apartments for rent in Volusia County: What do they cost?

Mole, a realtor, and he said he's seen rents increase significantly.

"A two-bedroom unit three or four years ago was rented for about $900. Now we're talking about $1,600 a month for a two-bedroom unit," he said.

Fair market rent for a two-bedroom unit in Volusia County based on U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development data is $1,413 a month, according to the University of Florida Shimberg Center for Housing Studies . From 2012 to 2022, Florida gained total rental units but lost units renting for less than $1,200 a month.

"Florida added over 700,000 units with rents above $1,200 from 2012 to 2022. The state lost nearly 292,000 units renting for $1,200 or less," according to the Shimberg Center.

Volusia County had over 3,000 homeless schoolchildren

Karen DeLisle, another official with F.A.I.T.H., also spoke with The News-Journal and said one side of the affordable housing problem is the number of homeless youth.

She said it would take 34 large school buses to transport all of the schoolchildren whom Volusia County Schools described as homeless, DeLisle said.

Volusia County identified 3,007 schoolchildren who fell into the homeless category because they didn't have a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence at some point during the year.

DeLisle called the issue "intolerable."

"So where are they sleeping? In cars. Some are outside. Some are couch surfing," she said.

Trust fund for affordable housing in Daytona Beach?

F.A.I.T.H. is advocating for local governments to create affordable housing trust funds to incentivize the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing.

The City of Daytona Beach is considering adding linkage fees , a development fee, to help fund affordable housing.

Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry and Commissioners Paula Reed and Ken Strickland shared their thoughts at the F.A.I.T.H. assembly. Henry delivered his message via pre-recorded video but wasn't at the meeting. He said he would support a $5-per-square-foot linkage fee for new commercial and residential development to support affordable housing.

Strickland and Reed said no, but added that they needed more information on linkage fees before they could consider supporting the fee. Other commissioners did not attend the assembly.

The creation of an affordable housing trust fund could be on the June 5 City Commission agenda, according to Henry and the commissioners.
