Located in Hingham, Massachusetts, half an hour southeast of Boston, Lawson Yachts has been in business since 1982. Yacht brokerage is our sole focus, and we sell both sail and power boats, specializing in quality, traditional cruising sailboats. Broker John Procter, a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, has over 35 years of experience in yacht sales and brokerage. John is a seasoned sailor and boat owner with a broad knowledge of yacht designs and market conditions.

As a long-time member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America, Lawson Yachts is an active participant in the organization. John has served on the board, including two terms as President. Pre-owned brokerage services

The yacht broker certification program sets a performance baseline for professional yacht brokers nationwide. As a CPYB Endorsed Brokerage, Eastern Yachts brokers have passed the National Yacht Broker Certification exam, which tested their ability and competency in several skill areas or are enrolled in the Apprentice program. Certified Brokers must maintain their certification by participating in 30 credit hours of industry training over three year intervals.

The CPYB designation provides yacht brokers nationwide with a new benchmark for measuring their skills, abilities, performance and ethics. Boat sellers and buyers are now in a better position to select qualified, competent yacht brokers.

Joe Guard grew up on the waters of Buzzards Bay and is a life- long resident of Southeastern Massachusetts. He has a strong passion for the ocean and all things pertaining to boating and sailing. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1994 and has owned his own multi-faceted, service-oriented business ever since.

Beginning brokering boats professionally in 2004. He initially brokered only Regulators, but Joe quickly expanded to other brands. Thanks to word of mouth from customers who were ecstatic about the service he offered, Joe was able to realize a life-long dream with the establishment of Falmouth Yacht Sales in 2012.  After meeting several United Yacht Sale Brokers over the years and with his own Brokerage Co growing at a rapid pace coupled with United’s network of Professional yacht brokers and vast resources in marketing, adverting’s and closing department, just to name a few. Joe knew that by merging Falmouth Yacht Sales with the United Yacht Sales team as the new United Yacht Sales Cape and Island division, would allow the ability to expand on the already high level of customer service for which he currently provides

Joe has been a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain since 2000. He loves nothing more than sharing his wealth of knowledge regarding all aspects of boats, from engine repair to boat handling, with fellow veterans or those new to boating. Joe prides himself on helping his seasoned customers find the boat of their dreams or helping new clients decide just what the boat of their dreams will be if they are planning to head out on the water for the first time.

Joe is an active member of the Beverly Yacht Club, the Hyannis Anglers’ Club and co-founder of the Buzzards Bay Anglers Club. He is an avid boater, sailor & angler. Enjoys days on the water with his three kids.

Captain Phil Moore, Founder/ Owner

Captain Phil Moore has been involved with boating and fishing most of his life. What started out as a hobby of fishing, turned into a charter business along with an impressive tournament record. He has been a feature guest speaker at numerous fishing clubs and a guest on George Poveromo Saltwater fishing seminar series.

With his years of knowledge and networking skills with other fishermen, captains and brokers, it was just a matter of time before Captain Phil became involved in selling boats. In 2008, he was a part of the development and creation of Buzzards Bay Yacht Sales and worked as a broker with them up until 2018.

Capt. Phil has consulted on numerous new boat builds including Yellowfin Yachts and VIKING Yachts. Phil's attention to detail, organization and knowledge of the process has produced some of the nicest vessels on the water today.

Phil's clients often say his best trait is his straight forward honest communication with a soft-spoken confidence.

Captain Tyler Noveletsky, Yacht Broker

Capt. Tyler grew up on Cape Cod and has spent his most of his life on or around the ocean. In addition to being an accomplished boater, Tyler also has an immense sport fishing and offshore tournament background throughout New England. Having spent so much time on the water, he brings a great deal of knowledge and dedication to his role.

"I like to think of my role as more of a consultant. I work together with my clients, whether they are buying, selling or preparing for their next fishing trip. Advising them on the proper steps to be taking in either selling their current vessel or finding the perfect vessel to fit their needs and desires. Jeffrey P. Jadul, Certified Professional Yacht Broker

Jeff grew up in a boating family following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both US Navy and USCG Veterans, who instilled the love of the ocean in him at a very young age. Jeff went on to study Marine Transportation at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and later accepted a full-time role aboard the 'Spirit of Boston'; a 192' commercial dinner ship cruising Boston Harbor, working in roles from Deckhand to Captain.

After holding various roles within the marine industry, including time spent at new boat dealerships and marina management, Jeff founded his own yacht brokerage firm in 2003, and attained his CPYB credentials in 2007. Jeff prides himself in assisting his clients as a trusted consultant, listening and understanding their needs, providing personalized service and delivering in line with their expectations.

When not walking the docks previewing boats for his clients, Jeff can usually be found underway in the Boston Whaler or spending time at the family beach house in Plymouth, MA with his wife and three children.

Michael Thayer, Yacht Broker

Mike grew up on the Cape and Has been boating his whole life. He now resides in West Wareham. From Cape Cod Bay to Buzzards Bay he can be seen fishing and having fun on the beaches with his family and friends. Mike has a great knowledge of center console and express boats of every size. He has recently become a certified technician thru Yamaha. His background in sales has proven vital to helping customers sell and find new boats. Mike really enjoys working with people and making their boating dreams come true.

Captain Kevin Malone, Yacht Broker

Boating and fishing have been a part of Captain Kevin Malone’s life as far back as he can remember. More than a hobby, Kevin turned his love of the ocean into lucrative careers. Kevin was the owner - operator of Diablo Sport fishing, a Bluewater fishing outfit in the Northeast and Costa Rica. His impressive charter business lead to an international career, meeting folks from all over the world. In 2007 Kevin opened Bad Fish Outfitters, a premier tackle shop based in Falmouth MA. Captain Kevin has a deep knowledge of boating from years of experience offshore fishing in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the US and Canada as well as the waters off the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica and Panama. He traveled the intercostal waterways with his spouse Eveline, before settling down in the Outer Banks, with their young daughter Carolina. Capt. Kevin continues to share his love of fishing and boating with his young family. As a long-time business owner, he is well suited to represent Moore Yacht Sales and the expansion into North Carolina. Capt. Kevin's diligence, work ethic and attention to detail makes him a trusted resource for his clients
