From their 250 Minesweepers, with the first birthed in 1930, to the Pimm in 1936 —where the performances of their creations caused a spike in worldwide orders, Abeking & Rasmussen had a solid path paved from the start. Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen opened the doors to the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Lemwerder, Germany, in 1907 and this is where the builder has remained since. The location is ideally suited on the Weser river and is easily accessed today by the Bremen airport. There also are ample motorways and railway connections to access the yard, but when Abeking & Rasmussen opened there, they chose the location for its rural feel, but urban infrastructure and water access.

In 1925, the brand gained its first commercial success as a Henry Rasmussen design garnered much acclaim in the United States. In 1930, Abeking & Rasmussen developed the first-ever Minesweeper and proceeded to produce 250 more of the vessel. In 1936, stemming from top performance by an Abeking & Rasmussen in an international regatta, orders for the brand’s yachts spiked.

By 1963, the firm launched the world’s first welded aluminum hull sailing yacht, GERMANIA IV. She became the star of Germany’s regatta scene and won the Travemuende week. Ten years later Abeking & Rasmussen launched KALAMOUN, the world’s fasted diesel motor yacht. By 1983 the builder completed an exceptionally received refit on AQUARIUS, a 61-meter three-masted sailing yacht. Four years later SILVER SHALIS, the fasted jet-drive yacht in her day was launched by the builder.

In 1995, Abeking & Rasmussen made waves with HETARIOS, a 170-foot (52m) sloop commonly regarded as the last mahogany luxury yacht built. In 2017, Abeking & Rasmussen opened Hanger F. A new extra-extra-large production hanger for yachts up to 152 feet (125m). In 2018 the brand celebrated its 111thyear by delivering its 111thyacht. €1M price drop on 43m Abeking & Rasmussen sailing yacht Asgard

A €1,000,000 price drop has been announced on the 42.8-metre classic sailing yacht Asgard, listed for sale with Adam Papadakis of Moravia Yachting . 

Asgard was built in cold-moulded mahogany by Abeking & Rasmussen to a custom design by Bruce King and delivered in 1993 as a classic-style ketch.

She has had two notable refits, one in 2014 and another in 2020, the former of which focused on refreshing the yacht's aesthetic appeal with a new teak deck and new interior by Rhoades Young . The 2020 refit focused on a complete mechanical and technical overhaul from the thrusters to the main engine.

Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins, comprising a full-beam master cabin, two double staterooms and two twin cabins, all with ensuite facilities. 

Designed for world voyaging as far as Alaska and the South Pacific and New Zealand, her interior has a classically nautical and warm theme pairing mahogany wood detailing with white-washed panelling. At the heart of the yacht is a split-level main saloon with two areas separated by a mahogany balustrade and staircase.

She has often been spotted on the race course with notable wins at the Superyacht Cup and the Spirit of Tradition Class of the Rolex Maxi Worlds.

Under power, a single 985hp MTU diesel engine gives the 152GT sailing yacht for sale a range of 2,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 12 knots. A draft of 3.2 metres allows extensive cruising capabilities.

Asgard is now asking €8,900,000 and is available for viewing at the Palma International Boat Show.

अनुसंधान का अर्थ ( Meaning of Research)

अनुसंधान के द्वारा उन मौलिक प्रश्नों के उत्तर देने के प्रयास किया जाता है जिनका उत्तर अभी तक उपलब्ध नहीं हो सका है। यह उत्तर मानवीय प्रयासों पर आधारित होता है इस प्रत्यय को चन्द्रमा के एक उदाहरण से स्पष्ट किया जा सकता है। कुछ वर्ष पहले जब तक मनुष्य चन्द्रमा पर नहीं पहुँचा था, चन्द्रमा वास्तव में क्या हैं ? इस सम्बन्ध में सही जानकारी नहीं थी। यह एक समस्या भी थी जिसका कोई समाधान भी नहीं था। मनुष्य को चन्द्रमा के सम्बन्ध में मात्र आवधारणाएं ही थी, शुद्ध ज्ञान नहीं था। परन्तु मनुष्य अपने प्रयास से चन्द्रमा पर पहुंच गया है। इस प्रकार शोध कार्यों द्वारा उन प्रश्नों का उत्तर खोजने का प्रयास किया जाता है जिनका उत्तर साहित्य में उपलब्ध नहीं है अथवा मनुष्य की जानकारी में नहीं है। उन समस्याओं का समाधान खोजने का प्रयत्न किया जाता है जिसका समाधान उपलब्ध नहीं है और न ही मनुष्य की जानकारी में है।

अनुसंधान की परिभाषा ( Definition of Research)

अनेक परिभाषाएं अनुसन्धान की गई है प्रमुख परिभाषा इस प्रकार हैं-

रेडमेन एवं मोरी के अनुसार- “नवीन ज्ञान की प्राप्ति के लिए व्यावस्थित प्रयास ही अनुसंधान हैं।”

पी० एम० कुक के अनुसार- ‘अनुसंधान किसी समस्या के प्रति ईमानदारी, एवं व्यापक रूप में समझदारी के साथ की गई खोज है। जिसमें तथ्यों, सिद्धान्तों तथा अर्थों की जानकारी की जाती है। अनुसंधान की उपलिब्ध तथा निष्कर्ष प्रामाणिक तथा पुष्टि करने योग्य होते हैं। जिससे ज्ञान में वृद्धि होती है।

उद्देश्य ( Objectives of Research)

शोध समस्याओं की विविधता अधिक है इसके चार प्रमुख उद्देश्य होते हैं- सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य, तथ्यात्मक उद्देश्य, सत्यात्मक उद्देश्य तथा व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य इनका संक्षिप्त विवरण इस प्रकार है-

• सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य ( Theoretical Objectives)- अनुसंधान में वैज्ञानिक शोध कार्य द्वारा नये सिद्धान्तों तथा नये नियमों का प्रतिपादन किया जाता है। इस प्रकार के शोध कार्य में अर्थापन होता है। इसमें चरों के सम्बन्धों को प्रगट किया जाता है और उनके सम्बन्ध में सामान्यीकरण किया जाता है। इससे नवीन ज्ञान की वृद्धि होती है, जिनका उपयोग शिक्षण तथा निर्देशन की प्रक्रिया को प्रभावशाली बनाता है।
• तथ्यात्मक उद्देश्य ( Factual Objectives)- शिक्षा के अन्तर्गत ऐतिहासिक शोध-कार्यो। द्वारा नये तथ्यों की खोज की जाती है। इनके आधार पर वर्तमान को समझने में सहायता मिलती है। इन उद्देश्यों की प्रकृति वर्णनात्मक होती है। क्योंकि तथ्यों की खोज करके, उनका अथवा घटनाओं का वर्णन किया जाता है। नवीन तथ्यों की खोज शिक्षा-प्रक्रिया के विकास तथा सुधार में सहायक होती है, निर्देशन प्रक्रिया का विकास तथा सुधार किया जाता है।
• सत्यात्मक उद्देश्य ( Establishment of Truth Objective)- दार्शनिक शोध कार्यों द्वारा नवीन सत्यों का प्रतिपादन किया जाता है। इनकी प्राप्ति अन्तिम प्रश्नों के उत्तरों से की जाती है। दार्शनिक शोध-कार्यों द्वारा शिक्षा के उद्देश्यों, सिद्धान्तों तथा शिक्षण विधियों तथा पाठ्यक्रम की रचना की जाती है। शिक्षा की प्रक्रिया के अनुभवों का चिन्तन बौद्धिक स्तर पर किया जाता है। जिससे नवीन सत्यों तथा मूल्यों को प्रतिपादन किया जा सकता है।
• व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य ( Application Objectives)- शैक्षिक अनुसंधा निष्कर्षों का व्यावहारिक प्रयोग होना चाहिए। परन्तु कुछ शोध-कार्यों में केवल इन्हें विकासात्मक अनुसन्धान भी कहते है। क्रियात्मक अनुसन्धान से शिक्षा की प्रक्रिया में सुधार तथा विकास किया जाता है अर्थात् इनका उद्देश्य व्यावहारिक होता है। स्थानीय समस्या के समाधान से इसका उपयोग अधिक होता है। स्थानीय समस्या के समाधान से भी इस उद्देश्य की प्राप्ति की जाती है। निर्देशन में इसकी उपयोगिता अधिक होती है।

अनुसन्धान का वर्गीकरण (Classification of Research)

अनुसन्धान के उद्देश्यों से यह स्पष्ट है कि अनुसन्धानों का वर्गीकरण कई प्रकार से किया जा सकता है। प्रमुख वर्गीकरण मानदण्ड पर आधारित है-

योगदान की दृष्टि से (Contribution Point of View)

शोध कार्यों के योगदान की दृष्टि से शैक्षिक अनुसन्धानों को दो भागों में विभाजित कर सकते हैं-

मौलिक अनुसंधान ( Basic or Fundamental Research)- इन शोध कार्यों द्वारा नवीन ज्ञान की वृद्धि की जाती है-नवीन सिद्धान्तों का प्रतिपादन नवीन तथ्यों की खोज, नवीन तथ्यों का प्रतिपादन होता है। मौलिक-अनुसन्धानों से ज्ञान के क्षेत्र में वृद्धि की जाती है। इन्हें उद्देश्यों की दृष्टि से तीन भागों में बाँटा जा सकता है-

• प्रयोगात्मक शोध-कार्यों से नवीन सिद्धान्तों तथा नियमों का प्रतिपादन किया जाता है। सर्पक्षण शोध से इसी प्रकार का योगदान होता है।
• ऐतिहासिक शोध कार्यो से नवीन तथ्यों की खोज की जाती है। जिनमें अतीत का अध्ययन किया जाता है और उनके आधार पर वर्तमान को समझने का प्रयास किया जाता है।
• दार्शनिक शोध कार्यों से नवीन सत्यों एवं मूल्यों का प्रतिपादन किया जाता है। शिक्षा का सैद्धान्तिक दार्शनिक अनुसन्धानों से विकसित किया जा सकता है।

अनुसंधान या शोध की अवधारणा | अनुसंधान या शोध की परिभाषाएं

(Concept and Definitions of Research)

शोध, खोज, अन्वेषण, अनुसंधान वास्तव में एक ही वैज्ञानिक प्रक्रिया के पर्यायवाची हैं। इतिहास में शोध की प्रक्रिया के जनक प्रो. जे.बी. ब्यूरी थे। उनका मत था कि, “इतिहास एकाकी विज्ञान है न कम और न अधिक।” ब्यूरी के बाद, नेवूहर एवं राके (जर्मनी), ऐक्टन (ब्रिटेन), कार्ल बेकर (अमेरिका), रैने (फ्रांस) आदि ने भी इसका समर्थन किया और इतिहास में शोध की आधारशिला रखी। इन्होंने ऐतिहासिक शोध की आधुनिक विधाओं और आलोचना पद्धति की विधि प्रतिपादित की हैं।

19वीं शताब्दी में ऐतिहासिक शोध की वैज्ञानिक प्रणाली को परिपक्वता एवं प्रौढ़ता प्राप्त हुई। बर्नहॉम, आंग्लाय तथा सेनावास ने ऐतिहासिक अध्ययन की वैज्ञानिक प्रणाली के माध्यम से अतीत के अनेक मौलिक तथ्यों को अपने समसामयिक समाज के सम्मुख उद्घाटित किया।

कार्ल बेकर ने 1931 में अमेरिकन इतिहास परिषद के अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में इसकी व्याख्या करते हुए कहा था, “ऐतिहासिक शोध वह वैज्ञानिक विधा है जिसमें एक इतिहासकार केवल उन तथ्यों का चयन करता है जिसे उसका समाज महत्वपूर्ण बताता है और केवल उन प्रतिमानों को पाने का प्रयास करता है जिन्हें पाने के लिये उसका समाज निर्देशित करता है।”

लेकिन कार्ल बेकर के उक्त मत का खण्डन करते हुए बर्नहीम ने लिखा है, “शोध स्वयंमेव इतिहास नहीं, अपितु इतिहासकार द्वारा अपने लक्ष्य तक पहुँचने का एक साधन तथा प्रक्रिया है। अतएव शोध का अभिप्राय केवल समाज -निर्दिष्ट अतीत के अंतर्निहित प्रतिमानों को खोजना ही नहीं, अपितु इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ और भी है।”

शेकअली के अनुसार, ” शोध एक प्रक्रिया है जिसका अभिप्राय अतीत सम्बन्धी नीवन तथ्यों को प्रकाश में लाना तथा ज्ञान की सीमा को विस्तृत करता है।”

रेनियर के अनुसार, “शोधकर्ता का उद्देश्य नवीन तथ्यों की खोज करना, उपलब्ध तथ्यों का संशोधन करना तथा नवीन साक्ष्यों के आधार पर अतीत की घटना का यथार्थ एवं परिकल्पनात्मक प्रस्तुतिकरण होता है।”

एच.सी. हॉकेट का कहना है, “शोध का अभिप्राय अतीतकालिक घटना के सम्बन्ध में नवीन सूचना तथा विचार का प्रस्तुतिकरण होता है।”

शोध के उद्देश्य (शोध के उद्देश्यों का वर्णन)

(Objectives of Research)

शोध के तीन प्रमुख उद्देश्य हैं- (1) सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य, (2) व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य तथा (3) व्यक्तिगत उद्देश्य |

(1) सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य- शोध मूल रूप से ज्ञान की वृद्धि का साधक है। इस दृष्टि से शोध का सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य तथ्यों, घटनाओं अथवा समस्याओं के विषय में ज्ञान प्राप्त करना है जिससे पुराने तथ्यों का सत्यापन, नये तथ्यों की खोज, नये सिद्धान्तों का निर्माण तथा परीक्षण किया जाता है। इस प्रकार शोध के निम्नलिखित सैद्धान्तिक उद्देश्य हो सकते हैं-

(i) शोध का उद्देश्य प्रयोगों द्वारा सिद्ध तथ्यों के आधार पर अवधारणाओं की रचना करना है।

(ii) शोध द्वारा पुराने तथ्यों की जाँच एवं नवीन तथ्यों की जानकारी की जाती है।

(iii) शोध का उद्देश्य पूर्व स्थापित सिद्धान्तों की जाँच तथा परीक्षण करना है।

(iv) शोध का उद्देश्य घटना एवं तथ्यों के मध्य कार्य, कारण, सम्बन्ध को खोजना भी है।

(2) व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य- यद्यपि शोध का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य सैद्धान्तिक ज्ञान में अभिवृद्धि करना होता है तथापि उस ज्ञान का व्यावहारिक धरातल पर उपयोग न होने पर ऐसा शोध अर्थहीन हो जाता है। अतः शोध के व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य निम्नलिखित हैं-

(i) शोध के द्वारा सर्वोत्कृष्ट विकल्प की खोज की जाती है।

(ii) शोध के द्वारा भविष्य के लिये योजनाओं के निर्माण में सहायता मिलती है।

(iii) शोध का व्यावहारिक उद्देश्य सामाजिक एवं आर्थिक समस्याओं का समाधान करने में सहायक होना भी है।

(iv) शोध के द्वारा किसी घटना के स्वरूप व कारणों के बारे में गहन जाँच कर उस समस्या को नियन्त्रित करने में सहायता मिलती है।

(v) शोध के द्वारा विभिन्न चरों (Variables) में परस्पर सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर परिकल्पनाओं (Hypothesis) को स्वीकृत अथवा अस्वीकृत किया जाता है।

(vi) शोध राजकीय तथा आर्थिक नीतियों का आधार प्रदान करता है।

(vii) शोध व्यवसाय तथा उद्योग की क्रियात्मक तथा नियोजन सम्बन्धी समस्याओं का समाधान करने में सहायक होता है।

(viii) शोध के द्वारा सामाजिक सम्बन्धों तथा समस्याओं का समाधान ढूँढने की सहायता मिलती है।

(3) व्यक्तिगत उद्देश्य- यहाँ प्रश्न यह उठता है कि एक व्यक्ति अन्ततः शोध करने के लिये क्यों अभिप्रेरित होता है? इस प्रश्न के उत्तर में शोध के व्यक्तिगत उद्देश्य निम्नलिखित हो सकते हैं-

(i) शोध के आधार पर रोजगार तथा उन्नति प्राप्त, हो सकती है क्योंकि बहुत से ऐसे व्यवसाय हैं जिनमें प्रवेश करने के लिये एक व्यक्ति को शोध करना आवश्यक होता है।

(ii) एक व्यक्ति समाज सेवा की दृष्टि से भी शोध एवं अनुसन्धान कर सकता है।

(iii) शोध करने का व्यक्तिगत उद्देश्य समाज में सम्मान प्राप्त करना भी हो सकता है।

(iv) कुछ व्यक्ति रचनात्मक कार्य करने में आनन्द का अनुभव प्राप्त करते हैं।

(v) इसी प्रकार एक शोधकर्ता ऐसी समस्याओं का समाधान करने सम्बन्धी चुनौती स्वीकार करना उचित समझता है जिनका वर्तमान में कोई समाधान नहीं है।

(vi) सरकारी निर्देशों के आधार पर भी शोध करना अनिवार्य हो सकता है।

उद्देश्य के आधार पर शोध के प्रकार

उद्देश्य के आधार पर- उद्देश्य के आधार पर शोध निम्न प्रकार का हो सकता है-

(1) मौलिक सैद्धान्तिक शोध ( Fundamental, Pure or Basic, Research)- नये सिद्धान्तों का सूत्रपात अथवा पुराने सिद्धान्तों की समीक्षा तथा संशोधन मौलिक शोध का विषय है। इसमें ज्ञान प्राप्ति का उद्देश्य सामान्यीकरण के द्वारा सिद्धान्तों की व्याख्या करना होता है। मौलिक अनुसन्धान में यह भी देखा जाता है कि क्या परिवर्तित परिस्थितियों में पुराने सिद्धान्त उचित हैं अथवा नहीं। यदि पुराने सिद्धान्त वर्तमान सन्दर्भ में ठीक न हों तो उन्हें अस्वीकृत कर नये सिद्धान्तों का प्रतिपादन किया जाता है। वास्तव में मौलिक अनुसन्धान का उद्देश्य उपलब्ध ज्ञान में अभिवृद्धि कर उसे समष्टि (Universe) में प्रयुक्त करने योग्य बनाया है।

(2) व्यावहारिक शोध ( Applid Research)- व्यावहारिक शोध में मौलिक शोध से प्राप्त परिणामों को वास्तविक घटनाओं तथा परिस्थितियों पर लागू कर प्राप्त परिणामों के आधार पर निष्कर्ष ज्ञात किये जाते हैं। पी०वी० यंग के अनुसार, “ज्ञान की खेज का निश्चित सम्बन्ध लोगों की प्राथमिक आवश्यकताओं एवं कल्याण से होता है। वैज्ञानिक की मान्यता यह होती है कि समस्त ज्ञान मूलभूत रूप से इस अर्थ में उपयोग होता है कि वह इस सिद्धान्त के निर्माण में या एक कला को व्यवहार में लाने में सहायक होता है, सिद्धान्त और व्यवहार आगे जाकर एक- दूसरे में मिल जाते हैं।” इस प्रकार व्यावहारिक अनुसन्धान की संज्ञा उसे दी जाती है जिसमें ज्ञानक्षप्राप्ति मानवीय भाग्य के सुधार में सहायता प्रदान कर सके।

(3) क्रिया शोध ( Action Research)- एक ऐसा शोध क्रिया शोध कहलाता है जो किसी समस्या अथवा घटना के क्रिया पक्ष पर बल देता है। विकास की गति को बढ़ाने के लिए तथा अपूर्ण आवश्यकताओं की प्रभावपूर्ति के लिए क्रिया शोध आवश्यक है।

शोध प्रारूप के उद्देश्य.

शोध की वस्तुनिष्ठता तथा वैज्ञानिकता की प्रभावशीलता हेतु शोध अभिकल्प का निर्माण किया जाता है। संक्षेप में इसके उद्देश्यों को प्रस्तुत किया जा रहा है-

1. प्रसरण नियन्त्रण (Control of Variance) – शोध के दौरान विशेषकर मानव प्रयोज्य समूहों पर बाहा कारकों का अधिक प्रभाव पड़ता है वहीं मानव के अन्दर होने वाले आन्तरिक परिवर्तन का प्रभाव भी अनुसन्धान को प्रभावित करता है। अभिकल्प के चयन का प्रमुख उद्देश्य प्रेक्षण में अध्ययन किए जाने वाले प्रमुख गोचरों पर बाह्य चरों के प्रभाव को निरसित करना या न्यून करना या उसे पृथक करना होता है।

2. समस्या समाधान प्रस्तुत करना (Presentation of Problem Solving) अनुसंधान अभिकल्प, शोध व्युत्पन्न समस्या का समस्याजनित अनुसंधान हेतु वैध, विश्वसनीय, वस्तुपरक एवं परिशुद्ध समाधान प्रस्तुत करने में सहायक होता है। बहुत से शोधार्थी न तो अभिकल्प को समझने का प्रयास करते हैं न ही उसमें रुचि लेते हैं पर इसे जानना आवश्यक होता है। प्रायः यह देखा जाता है कि शोधार्थी, समस्या, शोध उद्देश्य, परिकल्पना, चरों का निर्धारण, उपकरणों का प्रयोग, जनसंख्या निर्धारण, प्रतिदर्श चयन में त्रुटि करते हैं और वैज्ञानिक तथा सामाजिक अनुसंधानों में प्रदत्त संकलन एवं विश्लेषण में भी बुद्धि करते हैं। इसलिए शोध परिकल्प का प्रारम्भिक ज्ञान एक शोधार्थी के लिए आवश्यक है।

3. अनुसन्धान परिणामों का सामान्यीकरण (Generalization of Results) – सामान्यीकरण का आशय यह है कि एक छोटे से प्रतिदर्श पर किये गये अनुसन्धान का परिणाम सम्बन्धित जनसंख्या के शीलगुणों की व्याख्या में सहायक होता है। इसके अतिरिक्त प्राप्त परिणाम एवं निष्कर्ष ऐसी ही अन्य स्थितियों में भी मिल सकेंगे, इसका भविष्यकथन किया जा सकता है। किसी ठोस अभिकल्प से प्राप्त किए गये परिणाम सामान्यीकरण के लिए अधिक उपयुक्त होते हैं तथा वह अभिकल्प की उत्तमता को व्यक्त करते हैं। सामान्यीकरण को दो बातें प्रमुख रूप से प्रभावित करती हैं – (i) आन्तरिक वैधता, (ii) बाह्य वैधता ।

शोध प्ररचना के प्रकार (Types of Research Design in Hindi)

शोध प्रारूप के कई नाम और अलग-अलग पहचानें हैं। इसके बावजूद भी यह कहना कठिन है। कि शोध प्रारूपों में इतनी भिन्नता है कि उनके बीच स्थायी अन्तर की रेखा खींची ही जा सकती है। हर प्रारूप का कोई न कोई अंग और अंश दूसरे प्रारूपों में सम्मिलित रहता है। इसलिये हर प्रारूप दूसरे प्रारूप से जुड़ा भी माना जा सकता है तथापि कई प्रकार के शोध प्रारूपों की चर्चा इस प्रकार है-

शोध प्रारूप के उद्देश्य और प्रकार

1. अन्वेषणात्मक / खोजपरक शोध प्ररचना- यह प्रारूप खोजवादी है। उपकल्पना के तथ्यों की खोज जिसका शोध करना है, उसके बारे में गहन सूचना, अवधारणाओं की स्पष्टता की खोज, अगली शोधों के लिए पृष्ठभूमि की तलाश, व्यावहारिक सत्यों के बीच सैद्धान्तिक वास्तविकताओं की तलाश करने में यह प्रारूप काफी मूल्यवान है। यह प्रारूप ढेर सारी सम्भावनाओं के बीच से सुनी गई उत्तरदायी सम्भावनाओं को खोज निकालने में दक्ष है। जैसे भारत में गरीबी के अन्य कारण बताये गये हैं पर कुछ निश्चित कारणों का पता लगाना हो तो अन्वेषणात्मक प्रारूप सबसे अच्छा है।

2. वर्णनात्मक शोध प्रारूप- इस प्रारूप का केन्द्रीय उद्देश्य विवरण प्रस्तुत करना है –

सम्पूर्ण का कार्य या परिणाम का, कारणों का परिस्थितियों का परिवर्तन और नियन्त्रणों का अर्थात् जिस क्षेत्र और विषय का अनुसन्धान किया जाना है उसके सम्बन्ध में अधिक से अधिक जानकारी प्राप्त करना ही इसका लक्ष्य है। जनमत, जनभावना, जनव्यवहार का अध्ययन भी इस प्रारूप के द्वारा किया जा सकता है। समूहों के व्यवहार से सम्बन्धित उपकल्पनाओं का परीक्षण भी इससे होता है। इस प्रारूप से किए जाने वाले अनुसन्धान में तथ्यों को जुटाने के लिए किसी भी विधि का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।

3. परीक्षणात्मक शोध प्रारूप- भौतिक विज्ञानों में प्रयोगशालीय अध्ययनों की तर्ज पर यह शोध प्रारूप नियन्त्रित दशाओं के बीच शोध करने का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता है। चेपिन ने लिखा है कि परीक्षण आधारित शोध प्रारूप व्यवस्थित सामाजिक अध्ययन के लिए नियन्त्रित दशायें प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयत्न करता है। नियन्त्रित दशा का अर्थ कई चरों की स्थिति में से जिस चर को चाहे नियन्त्रित करके अध्ययन किया जाए। उदाहरण के लिए “अपराधी जन्मजात नहीं होते वरन् बनाये जाते हैं।’ का अध्ययन करना चाहे तो इस प्रारूप से बहुत सहायता मिल सकती है। बनाये जाने का अर्थ है “सम्पर्क से अपराध सीखना। हम दो समूह के बच्चों को लेकर यह प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। एक समूह का ‘चर’ होगा – अपराधियों का सम्पर्क और दूसरे में यही ‘चर’ नियन्त्रित रहेगा। अर्थात् दूसरा समूह अपराधियों की संगति से अलग रहेगा फिर हम दोनों समूह के बच्चों की सीख’ की तुलना कर निर्णय पर पहुँच सकते हैं। उपकल्पना या निष्कर्ष का पुनः परीक्षण कर सकते हैं।

4. विशुद्ध शोध प्रारूप- शोध का यह प्रारूप पूरी तरह शुद्ध ज्ञान के संचयन के लिए समर्पित है। व्यावहारिकता या उपयोगिता को ध्यान में रखकर इसे प्रयोग में नहीं लाया जाता। इसे इसीलिये आधारभूत शोध या Basic Research भी कहते हैं। विशुद्ध शोध के सम्बन्ध में कुछ लोगों का कहना है कि ‘ज्ञान के लिए ज्ञान’ की पिपासा आज के इस भौतिकवादी युग में निरर्थक है लेकिन यह बात सही नहीं है। विशुद्ध शोध द्वारा प्राप्त ज्ञान का प्रयोग व्यावहारिक शोध के अन्तर्गत भी किया जाता है।

5. व्यावहारिक शोध प्रारूप- ‘समाज’ ज्ञान से अधिक व्यवहार की संकुलता’ का नाम है। कुछ व्यवहार और प्रकार्य ऐसे हैं जिनको बढ़ावा देना समाज के हित में होता है। परन्तु कुछ व्यवहार, प्रकार्य या परिणाम, घटनाएँ ऐसे हैं जो अवांछित हैं, अनुपयोगी हैं। ये सामाजिक रोग या सामाजिक समस्या पैदा कर देते हैं – यदि उनको नियन्त्रित, निर्देशित न किया जाए तो उनसे विपरीत या बुरे परिणाम मिलेंगे, तो कौन से ऐसे व्यवहार हैं ? किनको नियन्त्रित और निर्देशित करने की जरूरत है ? और कैसे ? इन व्यावहारिक और उपयोगी प्रश्नों को सामने रखकर जो भी शोध किए जाते हैं उनके प्रारूप को उपयोगितावादी शोध का प्रारूप कहा जाता है।

6. क्रियात्मक शोध या एक्शन रिसर्च- व्यावहारिक या उपयोगितावादी शोध’ का ही यह अधिक सक्रिय और सक्षम तथा विकसित रूप है। अमेरिका के प्रो. कोलियर, स्टीफेन एम. कोरी, लिंकिन आदि ने एक्शन रिसर्च की अवधारणा प्रस्तुत की। भारत में भी गन्दी बस्ती सुधार योजना, पेयजल सुधार जैसी कई समस्याओं के सन्दर्भ में इस विधि का प्रयोग होने लगा है।

7. मूल्यांकनात्मक शोध- समाज सेवी गठन एवं सरकारें जनहित में देशहित में कई योजनाएँ चलाते हैं। अरबों, खरबों रूपया खर्च होता है। समय और श्रम लगता है। जिनके लिए योजनाएँ चलाई जाती हैं उनकी जीवन पद्धति पर भी असर पड़ता है। अनेक नई चीजें आ जुड़ती हैं उस क्षेत्र में या वहाँ के निवासियों के जीवन में पर, प्रश्न उठता है कि “क्या जो सोचकर या जिस उद्देश्य से योजनाएँ चलायी गयी थीं वे उद्देश्य पूरे हुए या हो रहे हैं ? या “पूरे नहीं हुए तो किस सीमा तक कार्य किया योजनाओं ने ? लाभ अधिक हुआ कि हानि आदि आदि ? ऐसे अनेक प्रश्न उठ खड़े होते हैं। इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर जानने के लिए जो शोध किए जाते हैं उन्हें ही मूल्यांकन शोध के नाम से जाना जाता है।

क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान (action research).

क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान एक प्रक्रिया है जिसका उद्देश्य मौलिक समस्याओं का अध्ययन करके नवीन तथ्यों की खोज करना, जीवन सत्य की स्थापना करना तथा नवीन सिद्धान्तों का प्रतिपादन करना है। अनुसंधान एक सोद्देश्य प्रक्रिया है, जिसके द्वारा मानव ज्ञान में वृद्धि की जाती है। इसमें अनुसंधानकर्ता विद्यालय के शिक्षक, प्रधानाध्यापक, प्रबंधक और निरीक्षक स्वयं ही होते हैं। इस अनुसंधान का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यालय की कार्यप्रणाली में संशोधन कर सुधार लाना है। क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान को संपादित करने में शिक्षक, प्रधानाध्यापक, प्रबंधक और निरीक्षक वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण अपनाते हैं। अनुसंधान के अंतर्गत तत्कालीन प्रयोग पर अधिक बल देते हैं।

आधुनिक युग में जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में प्रगति लाने के लिए अनुसंधान कार्य को बहुत महत्व दिया जाता है. शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में आज अनेक ऐसी समस्याएं उत्पन्न हो गई हैं जिनका सामना शिक्षा से संबंधित प्रत्येक व्यक्तियों को करना पड़ता है. शिक्षा की विविध समस्याओं का समाधान करने के लिए और व्यवहारिक रूप से वांछित परिवर्तन करने के लिए शिक्षा क्षेत्र में भी शोध कार्य या अनुसंधान की आवश्यकता है.

इस दृष्टि से शिक्षा क्षेत्र में जो अनुसंधान कार्य होते हैं वह शिक्षण के सिद्धांत पक्ष को सबल बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देते हैं, किंतु शिक्षा की क्रियात्मक या व्यावहारिक पक्ष में अनुसंधान कार्य से कोई विशेष लाभ नहीं हुआ. ऐसी स्थिति में एक ऐसी पद्धति की आवश्यकता का अनुभव किया गया जिसके फलस्वरूप विद्यालय से संबंधित समस्याओं का समाधान खोजा जा सके और विशिष्ट स्थिति में परिवर्तन और सुधार किया जा सके इन विचारों के फलस्वरुप क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान का महत्व बढ़ा.

क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान शिक्षक की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण उपकरण है. इसके अंतर्गत शिक्षण की समस्याओं का वैज्ञानिक विधि से समाधान खोजा जाता है. क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान विद्यालय के कार्य पद्धति में विकास करने का एक सबल साधन है. इसके माध्यम से शिक्षक अपनी कक्षा तथा विद्यालय के समस्याएं सुलझाने का प्रयत्न करता है. आज शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नए-नए अनुसंधान होते जा रहे हैं जिनका उद्देश्य शिक्षा को उत्तम बनाना है और शिक्षा संबंधित समस्याओं को सुलझाना है. क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान, अनुसंधान की प्रक्रिया को गति प्रदान करता है. क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान समस्याओं के अध्ययन की वैज्ञानिक पद्धति है, जो ज्ञान की खोज के लिए किया जाता है.

वास्तव में यह निरंतर गहरी तथा सौद्देश्य प्रक्रिया है, जो सत्य की खोज करती है. साथ ही साथ उसका लक्ष्य उन्नति एवं उत्तम करने मे सहायक है. अतः कहा जा सकता है कि अनुसंधान एक क्रमबद्ध वैज्ञानिक, वस्तुनिष्ठ तथा सौद्देश्य क्रिया है, जिसका प्रमुख ध्येय ज्ञान के क्षेत्र में वृद्धि करना, सत्यता की पुष्टि करना तथा नए तथ्यों, सत्यों एवं सिद्धांतों का निर्माण और प्रतिपादन करना होता है. शैक्षिक अनुसंधानों का अंतिम लक्ष्य शिक्षण नियमों तथा उनकी पुष्टि करना होता है.

क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान का अर्थ एवं परिभाषाएँ (Meaning and Definitions of Action Research)

विद्यालय से संबंधित व्यक्तियों द्वारा अपनी और विद्यालय की समस्याओं का वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन करके अपनी क्रियाओं और विद्यालय की गतिविधियों में सुधार लाना क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान कहलाता है। इसकी कुछ परिभाषाएँ निम्नलिखित हैं:-

1. मेक ग्रेथटे के अनुसार, "क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान व्यवस्थित खोज की क्रिया है जिसका उद्देश्य व्यक्ति समूह की क्रियाओं में रचनात्मक सुधार तथा विकास लाना है।"

2.स्टीफन एम. कोरे के अनुसार, “शिक्षा में क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान, कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा किया जाने वाला अनुसंधान है ताकि वे अपने कार्यों में सुधार कर सकें।"

3. मुनरो के अनुसार, "अनुसंधान समस्याओं को सुलझाने की वह विधि है, जिसमें सुझावों की पुष्टि तथ्यों द्वारा की जाती है।"

4. मौले के अनुसार, "शिक्षक के समक्ष उपस्थित होने वाली समस्याओं में से अनेक तत्काल ही समाधान चाहती है। मौके पर किये जाने वाले ऐसे अनुसंधान जिसका उद्देश्य तात्कालिक समस्या का समाधान होता है, शिक्षा में साधारणतः क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है।"

क्रियात्मक अनुसन्धान के उद्देश्य (Objectives of Action Research)

• विद्यालय की कार्य प्रणाली में सुधार तथा विकास करना। 
• छात्रों तथा शिक्षकों में प्रजातन्त्र के वास्तविक गुणों का विकास करना। 
• विद्यालय के कार्य-कर्ताओं, शिक्षक, प्रधानाचार्य, प्रबन्धक तथा निरीक्षकों में वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण का विकास करना।
• विद्यालय के कार्य-कर्ताओं में कार्य कौशल का विकास करना।
• शैक्षिक प्रशासकों तथा प्रबन्धकों को विद्यालयों की कार्य प्रणाली में सुधार तथा परिवर्तन के लिये सुझाव देना।
• विद्यालय की परम्परागत रूढ़िवादिता तथा यान्त्रिक वातावरण को समाप्त करना।
• विद्यालय की कार्य प्रणाली को प्रभावशली बनाना।
• छात्रों के निष्पत्ति स्तर को ऊँचा उठाना।

क्रियात्मक अनुसन्धान का क्षेत्र (Scope of Action Research)

क्रियात्मक अनुसन्धान को विद्यालय की कार्य प्रणाली के अधोलिखित क्षेत्रों में प्रयोग किया जाता है:-

• कक्षा शिक्षण विधियों एवं युक्तियों में सुधार लाना है।
• शिक्षण में प्रयुक्त होने वाली सहायक सामग्री जिसकी उपयोगिता के सम्बन्ध में निर्णय लेने के लिये इसका प्रयोग करते हैं।
• छात्रों की अभिरूचि, ध्यान, तत्परता तथा जिज्ञासा में वृद्धि के लिये इसे प्रयुक्त करते हैं।
• शिक्षकों द्वारा विभिन्न विषयों में दिये जाने वाले गृह कार्यों की प्रणाली को प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिये इसे प्रयोग करते हैं। 
• छात्रों की अनुसन्धान सम्बन्धी समस्याओं के समाधान के लिये इस प्रयुक्त करते हैं। 
• भाषा शिक्षण में वर्तनी तथा वाचन की समस्याओं के लिये तथा भाषाई शुद्धि के लिए भी क्रियात्मक-अनुसन्धान को प्रयुक्त किया जाता है। 
• छात्रों की अनुपस्थिति तथा विद्यालय विलम्ब से आने की समस्याओं के समाधान में इसे प्रयोग करते है। 
• छात्रों एवं शिक्षक सम्बन्धी समस्याओं तथा छात्रों में परस्पर आदान-प्रदान की समस्याओं के लिये प्रयुक्त करते हैं।
• परीक्षा में छात्रों के नकल करने की समस्याओं के समाधान में प्रयोग करते हैं।

एण्डरसन ने क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान के निम्न सात चरण बताये हैं:-

1. पहला सोपान (समस्या का ज्ञान):- क्रियात्मक-अनुसंधान का पहला सोपान है– विद्यालय में उपस्थित होने वाली समस्या को भली-भाँति समझना। यह तभी सम्भव है, जब विद्यालय के शिक्षक, प्रधानाध्यापक, प्रधानाचार्य आदि उसके सम्बन्ध में अपने विचार व्यक्त करें। ऐसा करके ही वे वास्तविक समस्या को समझकर अपने कार्य में आगे सुधार करना चाहते हैं।

2. दूसरा सोपान (कार्य के लिए प्रस्तावों पर विचार विमर्श):- क्रियात्माक-अनुसंधान का दूसरा सोपान है– समस्या को भली-भांति समझने के बाद इस बात पर विचार करना कि उसके कारण क्या हैं और उसका समाधान करने के लिए हमें कौन-से कार्य करने हैं। शिक्षक, प्रधानाचार्य, प्रबन्धक आदि इन कार्यों के सम्बन्ध में अपने-अपने प्रस्ताव या सुझाव देते हैं। उसके बाद वे अपने विश्वासों, सामाजिक मूल्यों, विद्यालयों के उद्देश्यों आदि को ध्यान में रखकर उन पर विचार-विमर्श करते हैं।

3. तीसरा सोपान (योजना का चयन व उपकल्पना का निर्माण):- क्रियात्मक-अनुसन्धान का तीसरा सोपान है- विचार-विमर्श के फलस्वरूप समस्या का समाधान करने के लिए एक योजना का चयन और उपकल्पना का निर्माण करना। इसके लिए विचार-विमर्श करने वाले सब व्यक्ति संयुक्त रूप से उत्तरदायी होते हैं। उपकल्पना में तीन बातों का सविस्तार वर्णन किया जाता है—

• समस्या का समाधान करने के लिए अपनाई जाने वाली योजना,
• योजना का परीक्षण,
• योजना द्वारा प्राप्त किया जाने वाला उद्देश्य।

4. चौथा सोपान (तथ्य संग्रह करने की विधियो का निर्माण):- क्रियात्मक-अनुसंधान का चौथा सोपान है– योजना को कार्यान्वित करने के बाद तथ्यों या प्रमाणों का संग्रह करने की विधियाँ निश्चित करना—इन विधियों की सहायता से जो तथ्य संग्रह किये जाते हैं, उनसे यह अनुमान लगाया जाता है कि योजना का क्या प्रभाव पड़ रहा है।

6. छठा सोपान (तथ्यों पर आधारित निष्कर्ष):- क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान का छठा सोपान है– योजना की समाप्ति के बाद संग्रह किए हुए तथ्यों या प्रमाणों से निष्कर्ष निकालना।

7. सातवाँ सोपान (दूसरे व्यक्तियों को परिणामों की सूचना):- क्रियात्मक-अनुसंधान का सातवाँ और अन्तिम सोपान है– दूसरे व्यक्तियों को योजना के परिणामों की सूचना देना।

क्रियात्मक अनुसंधान के लाभ (Benefits of Action Research)

• इससे शिक्षक अपनी कक्षा के वातारण में अपनी कार्यप्रणाली में सुधार तथा प्रगति करता है। 
• शिक्षक शोध के पदों से परिचित होता है। 
• शिक्षकों में वैज्ञानिक-प्रवृत्ति, शोध कार्य के लिए जाग्रत होती है।
• इसके द्वारा विद्यालय के प्रशासन में सुधार तथा परिवर्तन लाया जाता है। 
• यह विद्यालय से संबंधित व्यक्तियों की विभिन्न दैनिक समस्यओं का व्यावहारिक एवं तथ्यपूर्ण समाधान करता है।
• यह विद्यालय को आधुनिक तथा समयानुकूल बनाने का प्रयास करता है। 
• इसके द्वारा प्राप्त निष्कर्ष व्यवहारिक रूप से काफी सफल होते हैं।

Research objectives describe what your research is trying to achieve and explain why you are pursuing it. They summarize the approach and purpose of your project and help to focus your research.

Your objectives should appear in the introduction of your research paper , at the end of your problem statement . They should:

• Establish the scope and depth of your project
• Contribute to your research design
• Indicate how your project will contribute to existing knowledge

Your research objectives may evolve slightly as your research progresses, but they should always line up with the research carried out and the actual content of your paper.

Research aims

A distinction is often made between research objectives and research aims.

A research aim typically refers to a broad statement indicating the general purpose of your research project. It should appear at the end of your problem statement, before your research objectives.

Your research objectives are more specific than your research aim and indicate the particular focus and approach of your project. Though you will only have one research aim, you will likely have several research objectives.

Research objectives are important because they:

• Establish the scope and depth of your project: This helps you avoid unnecessary research. It also means that your research methods and conclusions can easily be evaluated .
• Contribute to your research design: When you know what your objectives are, you have a clearer idea of what methods are most appropriate for your research.
• Indicate how your project will contribute to extant research: They allow you to display your knowledge of up-to-date research, employ or build on current research methods, and attempt to contribute to recent debates.

Once you’ve established a research problem you want to address, you need to decide how you will address it. This is where your research aim and objectives come in.

Step 1: Decide on a general aim

Your research aim should reflect your research problem and should be relatively broad.

Step 2: Decide on specific objectives

Break down your aim into a limited number of steps that will help you resolve your research problem. What specific aspects of the problem do you want to examine or understand?

Step 3: Formulate your aims and objectives

Once you’ve established your research aim and objectives, you need to explain them clearly and concisely to the reader.

You’ll lay out your aims and objectives at the end of your problem statement, which appears in your introduction. Frame them as clear declarative statements, and use appropriate verbs to accurately characterize the work that you will carry out.

The acronym “SMART” is commonly used in relation to research objectives. It states that your objectives should be:

• Specific: Make sure your objectives aren’t overly vague. Your research needs to be clearly defined in order to get useful results.
• Measurable: Know how you’ll measure whether your objectives have been achieved.
• Achievable: Your objectives may be challenging, but they should be feasible. Make sure that relevant groundwork has been done on your topic or that relevant primary or secondary sources exist. Also ensure that you have access to relevant research facilities (labs, library resources , research databases , etc.).
• Relevant: Make sure that they directly address the research problem you want to work on and that they contribute to the current state of research in your field.
• Time-based: Set clear deadlines for objectives to ensure that the project stays on track.

• Specifics about your population of study, your proposed sample size , and the research methodology you’ll pursue
• Any inclusion and exclusion criteria
• Any anticipated control , extraneous , or confounding variables that could bias your research if not accounted for properly.

It can also be defined as the creation of new knowledge or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way so as to generate new concepts and understandings. In this article, we will discuss research and its allied concepts.

What is Research?

The term Research comprises two words “Re” and “search”. Generally “Re” means again and “search” means to find out. Research is a careful investigation or inquiry, especially to search for new facts in any branch of knowledge. Example: Research conducted on issues such as

• How the New Education Policy has evolved after independence?
• How the COVID-19 disease has impacted the Economy?

Research can be done with human beings, animals, plants, other organisms and inorganic matter. No matter what topic is being studied, the value of the research depends on how well it is designed and done. A good researcher must be hardworking, diligent, and open-minded, and should adopt a critical way of thinking.

Objectives of Research

Well-defined objectives of the research are an essential component of successful research engagement. Here are some of the following objectives given below:

• To generate new knowledge.
• To gain familiarity or to develop a new insight into some phenomenon.
• To investigate some existing situation or problem.
• To construct or create a new procedure or system.
• To explore and analyze more general issues.
• To investigate some existing situations or problems.
• To test a hypothesis or theory.
• To identify patterns or trends related to the problem.

Types of Research

Research is of different types depending upon several factors like objective, outcome and process etc. These are explained below

Based on Objectives :  

• Descriptive Research : The main objective of descriptive research is to define the characteristics of a particular phenomenon. It is also known as statistical research. It deals with everything that can be counted and studied. This descriptive methodology focuses on the “what” of the research problem. The primary methods used in descriptive research include observations, surveys, and case studies.
• Exploratory Research:   It is generally done at the beginning of the research. It attempts to clarify why and how there is a relationship between two or more aspects of a situation or phenomenon. It makes use of secondary data. The purpose of this is to gain background information, define terms, and clarify the problems.
• Experimental: This method begins with a question concerning the relationship between two or more variables. The independent variable is controlled by the researcher. And the dependent variable is measured by the researcher. The researcher manipulates independent variables example teaching methods and measures dependent variables (satisfaction) to establish cause-and-effect relationships between them.

Based on the outcome:

•  Fundamental:   It is also known as basic research. This research is driven by the desire to expand knowledge in a specific research area. This will increase our scientific knowledge base for research. It aims to say how things can be changed.
• Applied research : It is defined as research that is used to answer a specific question, determine why something failed or succeeded, and solve a specific, pragmatic problem.

Based on logic:

• Deductive: It is also termed a top-down or general-to-specific approach. It is a method of verification and instruction. And it does not provide any new knowledge. It aims at testing an existing theory. It involves three steps- state the hypothesis, collect data to test the hypothesis and lastly make a decision to accept or reject the hypothesis.
• Inductive: It is also known as the bottom-up approach. It gives new knowledge. It is a method of discovery and teaching. It involves three steps-observe different phenomena in the world, searching for a pattern in what is observed and lastly making a generalization about what is occurring.

Based on the process: 

• Qualitative: this is a “subjective research” that explores and gains an understanding of the problems. The approach is bottom-up. It explores to know how and when. The main objective is to develop an understanding of human beings and social sciences to know what feel and think.
• Quantitative: This adopts an “objective” approach that explains and quantifies the problems. It is a top-down approach. The objective is to confirm what and when. This research is very clear on what to do, and what not to do by employing statistical, logical and mathematical techniques.

Based on inquiry mode: 

• Structured: This approach is usually classified as quantitative research. It is more appropriate to determine the extent of a problem, issue or phenomenon by quantifying the variation.
• Unstructured: This approach to inquiry is usually classified as qualitative research. It allows flexibility in all aspects of the research process. It is more appropriate to explore the nature of a problem without quantifying it.

Based on Concept :

• Conceptual: It is focused on developing new ideas or theories, without necessarily collecting data. It involves the analysis of abstract concepts, theories, and ideas that are not observable or measurable. Conceptual research is often used to establish a theoretical framework for further research and to provide a basis for the development of new ideas and theories.
• Empirical:   On the other hand, it is based on the collection and analysis of data. This type of research involves the observation and measurement of real-world phenomena, and the use of statistical methods to analyze the data. Empirical research is often used to test existing theories and hypotheses, to gather information on a particular topic, or to validate the effectiveness of a particular intervention or treatment.

In nutshell, research is a systematic and structured approach to answering questions or solving problems by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. It involves various types, steps, and ethical considerations to ensure the validity and reliability of the research findings. Research plays a crucial role in advancing knowledge, solving problems, and informing decision-making in various fields.

Among other designs worth mentioning are their new additions SX112, 164-foot 500EXP Ocean Dreamwalker lll, or the 210-foot 64Steel. One thing they all have in common is that they cater to the American lifestyle.

• 16. Rossinavi

Rossinavi has worked with some of the world’s best designers available to come up with unique and futuristic designs. Some of their most popular superyachts in the last few years have got to be 160-foot Endeavour ll and the 161-foot Aurora. Achille Salvagni is responsible for both designs, but they are quite different from one another.

The Alfa 50, with its sleek modern look, was designed by Enrico Gobbi. Pininfarina, who has put their signature touch on Ferrari, has unveiled some of Rossinavi’s new concepts, which make them stand out from other brands.

• 15. Baglietto

Another Italian company, they have been around since 1840, when Pietro Baglietto started building wooden fishing ships in his backyard. He expanded his company by manufacturing boats for kings and popes, and in 1906 built his first combustion engine.

Eventually, the company was saved from bankruptcy by the Gavio Group and they got a facelift with the introduction of their new model line, which ranges from 43 to 230 feet yachts. Their Silver Fox, which was launched in 2018, is designed by Francesco Paszkowski and it could easily be considered a true work of art.

• 14. Mangusta

The company is owned by the Balducci family and it was started in 1985. They specialize in luxury sports yachts and voyage superyachts, all of which you can customize to your personal tastes. They have built more than 300 yachts in their 34 year career, and they are still going strong.

The Mangusta Oceano, for example, is one of their long-range yachts with ranges up to 5,000 miles. The Mangusta Maxi Open series offers speed, stability and quietness. And their GranSports is a fast-displacement series that covers long distances.

• 13. Princess Yachts

Established in 1965, this British company has grown into a conglomerate with multiple production sites over the years. They build contemporary yachts in seven classes, ranging from open boats to megayachts. Their flagship Imperial Princess, a 131-foot 40M superyacht, has a large interior and lots of natural light.

It is built on the South Yard, which was formerly a 17th century naval yard. Their R35, one of their most innovative models, is built with a foil system which reduces drag and can revolutionize yachting, and was designed by Pininfarina, the same acclaimed design studio that works with Rossinavi as well.

The crown jewel of the Ferretti group, CRN is famous for their landmark Chopi Chopi, a 262-foot megayacht. The different ranges of the military style 180-foot Atlante, the sleek hull of the 239-foot Yalla, or even the high-tech Cloud 9 yacht show the different customizable possibilities from CRN Yachts.

Ferretti invested lots of money into their Ancona Yard, and their tri-deck motor yacht, as well as the Superconero are just some of the upgraded versions of the staples that brought them on the map in the first place.

• 11. Sunseeker

One of the UK’s most important shipyards, Sunseeker manufactures most of its vessels in Poole, Dorset. The Ngoni, a 190-foot is built with an eclectic interior, and the 184-foot classic Aquarius are some of their popular models. Project Phi is their newest addition to an already solid fleet and the Apex 850 concept will be probably turned into reality too. 

• 9. Perini Navi

Two yards in Italy and a third in Turkey are the places where the newest additions to their line up are being built right now. Restructuring of the company’s management in 2017 resulted in a major refresh of their fleet too. New lines such as the E-volution Yacht series, the Argonaut, Heritage and Voyager are going to be the new focus for Perini Navi.

Sometimes a change is needed, and their new innovations have proven successful. Their hybrid-powered models such as the Eco-tender are built to keep up with the changes necessary for the environment.

• 8. Nobiskrug

Located in Northern Germany, Nobiskrug operates from two facilities which build vessels ranging from 197 to 1,398 feet. The 115 year old company is a pioneer in the superyacht division with their 2000 Tatoosh model. They employ more than 1,000 professionals who excel in the business.

The 262 foot Artefact was launched only last year, and at 2999 GT it is the largest superyacht by volume in the world. It is also the first in the world to meet IMO Tier lll emissions regulations. In-house production of everything from hull construction to mechanical work makes them one of the most diverse and eco-friendly companies in their category.

• 7. Feadship

The famous Dutch company comprises De Vooght Naval Architects, De Vries and Van Lent family yards, with locations in Amsterdam, Aalsmeer, Kaag, and Makkum. Responsible for dozens of custom launches over the last seven decades, they are considered Holland’s powerhouse.

Symphony, a 333-foot pioneer to cross the 100-meter mark, and the 312-foot Faith has its own helicopter pad with hangar on the foredeck, and on the aft deck a glass floor swimming pool. They are just some of their more famous models, they have many others you can research if interested.

One of the best superyacht builders in the world, this Dutch company is based in Vlissingen. Operating for more than 100 years, they offer the Full Custom and Limited Editions, ranging from 108 to 272 foot LOA. The facilities are used for both military and commercial vessels, and they employ the most skilled workers in the industry.

Their most noteworthy launches in the last couple of years are the 243-foot Universe, the 205-foot Sea & US, along the 189-foot Volpini 2. The potential owners are able to customize both interiors and exteriors according to their taste.

One of the oldest and largest superyacht builders in the world, Benetti has been making custom and semi custom builds since 1875. They currently have 97 yachts under build larger than 78 feet. The Ironman, Metis and Spectre are some of their newest additions. The FB277 351-foot gigayacht is currently being under construction at the Livorno yard.

Their Luminosity is believed to be valued at more than 200 million EUR and became one of the top 10 largest Superyachts delivered in 2019. Pretty amazing!

Founded in 1978, this Dutch superyacht brand specializes in custom-made builds. Therefore, their fleet is limited, so there are three different ways to own a Heesen boat. Through the Pure Custom program the buyer can order a unique individual design and engineering.

The Platform Concept program offers custom exterior design but standard engineering, and the third option is to buy a brand new custom superyacht as soon as it is made available for purchase. The Galactica Super Nova is their largest built at 230 feet, and their Maximus, with an open cockpit and a swimming pool with a waterfall is a special yacht someone will surely enjoy.

A fairly young company, this Dutch company based in Alblasserdam has been around since 1987. They specialize in custom expedition yachts ranging from 262 to 459 feet. The builder launched Project Bravo in 2018, which is a fuel efficient and eco-friendly innovative design. Their green technologies are predominant in their newest addition to their fleet.

Their most famous superyachts are the 311-foot Indian Empress and the 300-foot Equanimity. Their Black Pearl, a 350-foot technically advanced designed sailing superyacht stands on its own.

• 2. Abeking & Rasmussen

Successful in setting new technological standards, this family business is located across the river from Lurssen in Germany. They have been the best in the making of naval vessels since 1917, and they also specialize in coast guard and patrol vessels, as well as custom yachts. German engineering at its best, A & R has been an innovative company who is not scared of change.

They are developing a hybrid fuel cell powered by methanol that emits only clean steam, the first hydrocarbon emission free in the world. The Aviva, a 321-foot flagship has its own paddle-tennis court on the premises.

After walking around the Miami Boat Show this week, I had the opportunity to speak with several excited future owners, as well as representatives from many of the shipyards in the 40-foot to 100-foot range. While none of this will come as a surprise to anyone who has been following the trends in yacht sales, there were mixed emotions from everyone as inventory shortages continue and demand remains incredibly strong. As you can imagine, even the most popular yacht brands have not been spared from equipment troubles, material shortages, and shipping delays.

The love and passion for boating that has grown this amazing recreation continues to thrive, while the need for relaxation is more important than ever before. What better way to unwind than on your own personal yacht, enjoying the sun and ocean with your favorite guests! I listened to one couple's plans to take on the Great Loop and had brought with them a list of bridge heights, along with requirements they wanted in a boat for their adventure. They planned on spending over a year on the Loop, taking their time along the way to enjoy each stop. Another gentleman perused over a 58-foot motor yacht with future plans of putting it into a yacht charter program in the Bahamas during season and off the New England Coast in the Summer.

The boating dreams and aspirations were generally the same as previous boat shows, but the sales climate was noticeably different. In some new boat displays, 'SOLD' signs could be seen on every single model on display.

Manufacturers, yacht dealers, and boaters alike all complained about the lack of available inventory - both new and used - with many wait times for new builds 18 months out or more. Fueled by shortages in materials and microchips, along with the incredible uptick in boat sales in the U.S., the current climate is one of quick decisions and fast action. Buyers using a professional yacht broker are more likely to be successful in finding the perfect boat as they can not only watch the market for what becomes available, but they also have knowledge of boats not yet currently advertised.

And for sellers, if there ever were a perfect time to sell your yacht quickly and for potentially over-asking price, it's right now!

Consider these facts for a moment :

• Total U.S. pre-owned sales increased 10% from 2019 to 2021 while the total value increased 57%
• Sales in the 46' to 55' category grew 34%, while the 56' to 79' category grew 38%
• Yacht Sales for the 80'+ category grew 61%
• United Yacht Sales also saw growth of 29% in 2021 , after increasing sales by 31% in 2020 .
• The average boat value, across both power and sail, has increased 40% since pre-pandemic conditions.

A 10% increase in sales is a tremendous surge for an industry that sees nearly $40 billion in sales each year. According to a 2021 market index report from Boats Group, cruising yachts were the most popular type of yacht searched for on the brokerage market. Coming in second place were center-console boats , followed by motor yachts.

"It makes sense that cruisers are the most popular searched for boat," said Captain Jeff Palmer, UYS co-President. "Not only are there more cruising-style boat builders, but the versatility of this design keeps them relevant. People love to go on trips, whether it's to the islands or up the coastline, and the comfortable accommodations they provide are important to the owners." There are simply more cruising boat builders than sportfishing boats, making it important to break this category out by itself. Even drilling down further would require separating pre-owned custom sportfishing boats out from the production boats since so few of them are built each year.

The second most sought after category, center-console boats, always seems to be a dominant segment of the industry thanks to their relative affordability when compared to much larger yachts. The ease of handling and maintenance, normally due to having outboard engines, makes this a popular choice for many boat owners.

A spacious production yacht, a premium bluewater cruiser and a highly customised Italian performance cruiser shows the variety on offer in the 50-60ft+ market, while giving the jury some tricky comparisons to make.

Best luxury yacht winner – oyster 495.

It is hard to imagine that the decor of a yacht can change its look and feel quite this much, yet the layout of this second 495, Eddie Jordan’s dramatic looking Tuga , is in fact identical to the first boat that I spent several days aboard last summer.

At its heart is a wonderfully (Humphreys) designed and engineered luxury bluewater cruiser conceived from the ground up, built in a new dedicated facility to a repeatable quality very few yards are capable of.

The 495 offers consistent passage making speeds in real voluminous comfort – whether enjoyed from the deep cockpit or the best-in-class aft cabin. Deck stowage and mechanical space is also superb.

Then factor in the family appeal of Oyster’s after sales and world rally programme and you start to appreciate the premium world this sub 50-footer gives access to.

The first yacht fully conceived under CEO Richard Hadida’s reign, this is also the smallest completely new Oyster 495 since 2005 – and it’s a triumph. It was our September 2022 cover star in which we featured the full review from our Oyster 495 three day test .

Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60

The Oceanis Yacht 60 is a very different beast indeed to the 62 it replaces as flagship for the Beneteau range. The yard has learned plenty from the success of the First 53/OY 54 and wanted to create a 60 in this style and with the same deck layout (albeit larger and wider) and ease of circulation.

The construction experience of the smaller model clearly helped too, as this is a whopping five tonnes lighter than the bulky OY62 and with a deeper (2.6m) keel. The telling result is on the water. It feels sporty to helm and we averaged a knot slower than the single figure 6-8 knot windspeeds upwind and matched them reaching with Code 0 and a slight swell.

The vast cockpit works well, sheltered below the semi rigid bimini, it has plentiful lounging space with sailing systems led aft to the twin helms. The interior sees a 3+3 layout, where Beneteau wanted to get rid of the corridor effect of the OY62. The galley is forward to help open out space, while the forward suite with offset berth and headboard aft works well to give space with privacy.

This is an attractive, voluminous yacht that leaves a good overall impression whether under sail, on or below decks.

Ice 62 Targa

It all looks pretty funky below decks on the Ice 62 Targa too, especially if you’re watching the masthead fore and aft cameras (plus bow and prop cam) on central displays mounted in the saloon while you slip out of the dock! The Ice is a seriously impressive, contemporary yacht, one that in looks, performance and execution, won over many of the judges.

The first to launch is a highly customised project for a passionate sailing owner who covers long distances solo – he’d already sailed it 3,000 miles around the Med that autumn. It’s impressively stiff, sails handsomely and, thanks to a telescopic keel, points well. We matched single figure windspeeds, and clocked up to the high 9s in 12 knots wind.

Umberto Felci’s team spent 4,000 hours on the design, providing lots of space and light to the interior and a chillout zone in the semi raised saloon. This was easily the coolest looking yacht, with its aggressive reverse bow, chamfered gunwales and carbon T-top bimini, and all engineered and built to a high standard.

Are Branded Luxury Yachts the New Frontier of High-End Travel?

Four Seasons is out to conquer the high seas—it may have some competition.

The monogrammed robe really says it all. There it hangs in the gleaming white marble bathroom, conveniently perched within arms reach of the tub, which, by the way, has been filled to the brim with rose petals. Subtle, but just conspicuous enough, an entire brand philosophy ingeniously encapsulated in a single piece of terrycloth.

The brand in question here is Four Seasons, and its philosophy? That luxury is its love language. "It's these little unscripted gestures that create a sense of the bespoke," says Marc Speichert, the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, who then relays an anecdote about a housekeeping manager who once noticed a photo lying on a table in a guest's room and went out to find a frame for it. The guest was ecstatic. "It wasn't in the playbook that says, 'If you find a picture put it in a frame.' It was just him being creative, and passionate about making a difference."

This exacting attention to detail, service, and care can presumably be found across the Four Seasons hotel portfolio, from Cap-Ferrat to Chiang Mai, Philadelphia to Punta Mita, and most definitely up in the air in the Four Seasons Private Jet , given what the 0.01 percent pay for that experience. And come 2025, it will all hit the water too, when the Four Seasons Yacht sets sail on her maiden voyage (reservations open in a year), becoming the latest to enter this elite luxury race which has apparently moved from terra firma to the high seas.

In October, the first of three ships in the new Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection finally set sail after three years of delays—the 624-foot Evrima ferried 298 guests around the Mediterranean for a week. Four Seasons' boat (also the first of three in the making), by comparison, will measure 679 feet and carry a fraction of passengers: there are only 95 suites on board (each cost more than $4 million to build) and an embarrassment of riches in amenities, from 11 food and beverage outlets, to an outdoor movie theater, to the largest pool deck in its class, to common areas designed by Martin Brudnizki.

The yacht wars don't end here: last December, Aman announced it was also building a yacht—600 feet, 50 suites, a spa with a zen garden, two helipads—which will also launch in 2025. Even aspirational furniture brand Restoration Hardware has put its stamp on maritime hospitality, tricking out an expedition yacht it bought in 2019 with its signature caramel-hued California cool aesthetic of Carrara marble, Italian leathers, sleek lacquers, and reclaimed woods.

Which brings us back to the question: how does one stand out in what's fast becoming a competitive market? "Maximum flexibility," Speichert says, by which he means a guest on the Four Seasons Yacht will be able to do whatever she wants whenever she pleases (within the parameters of the ship's port schedule, of course), rather than being forced to choose an itinerary in advance, as is the practice on most other cruises. "It's about however you want to discover where we go. Up to you."

The brand also has the advantage of a sprawling—and unrivaled— global network of hotels with highly capable concierge teams at the ready to craft curated on-shore experiences and dispense insider destination knowledge. Maybe you even add on a few nights at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat while the yacht is anchored off the coast, or at San Domenico Palace, the property in Taormina that just played a starring role in the second season of The White Lotus (the yacht will summer in the Mediterranean and winter in the Caribbean) . "Everyone can have a completely different puzzle as they assemble the pieces," Speichert says. "We have scale. We're small in the context of hospitality, but big in the context of luxury."

Four Seasons (and its peers) seems to be banking on the idea that the Logan Roys of this world may already have their very own superyachts, natch, but should they be feeling sociable (or are in need of buying out a boat to fit their friends for, say, a milestone celebration on the Adriatic), they would feel just as home, and just as meticulously looked after, on its vessel. And Four Seasons does seem to have a competitive edge: few can yet claim bragging rights to luxury hospitality domination over land, sea, and air. Could a Four Seasons spaceship be far behind?

What are the Top 10 Yacht Brands in the United States?

The boating world spans one of the greatest ranges of any industry, with everything from the tiniest of skiffs up to the largest of luxury superyachts in its repertoire. Yet terminology and classification is often a gray area, with lots of overlap. A yacht could be a sailing yacht or a motor yacht, and from there further sub-categorized into superyachts, trawler yachts, sport fishing yachts, and so many more. When we look at the top 10 best yacht brands on the market, it’s easy to end up comparing apples and oranges. The best in one category might not make it onto the best in another, purely because of the style of yachts they produce. So here we have listed – in no particular order - the Top 10 best yacht brands in the United States by their popularity and quantities of yachts sold. 1. Boston Whaler : There isn’t a marina in the US that doesn’t have a Boston Whaler in it, such is the huge popularity of this American born manufacturer. With a big inventory of fishing and cruising yachts, and an impressive safety record, Boston Whaler’s are in high demand both new and used. 

2. Grady-White : Established in 1959 in the US, Grady-White are pioneers in the sportfishing and walkaround yacht category, specializing in dual and center console saltwater fishing boats. They offer spacious, highly functional, and dependable world-class cruising yachts which stand the tests of time. 

2. SeaRay Boats : Sea Ray have been building some of the best sport cruiser yachts in the US since their founding in 1959. Today they remain one of the most popular, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction, as well as attention to detail. While new SeaRays don’t come cheap, their popularity means there are plenty on the used market which can be bought very affordably. 

3. Chris-Craft : Chris-Craft’s center console yachts offer excellent value for money, as well as high performance and plenty of extras. In fact, since the beginning of the 1900’s, Chris-Craft have dedicated themselves to offering boats for the everyday family, whether it was a small skiff or something more luxurious. 

4. Cutwater Boats : Functional, reliable, fun and affordable, Cutwater Boats offer an impressive range of trawler-style cruising boats which do it all, whether that’s cruising off-grid, fishing with friends or spending a day on the water with family. 

5. Ranger Tugs : Ranger Tugs are one of the most affordable yacht brands of 2023, with a great choice of family-friendly pocket yachts and long distance cruisers and trawlers. The design and build of a luxury yacht is a truly personal experience. Whether customising a design to be built, or striving to create a completely new concept altogether, superyacht owners will seek to work with a yacht builder that truly understands their vision, and can translate their dream design into a real vessel.

Those buying a new superyacht will therefore have many questions to ask themselves before settling on a suitable yacht builder and shipyard facility to carry out the project. Thankfully for these prospective owners, there are a number of luxury superyacht brands that have the ability to turn the biggest mega yacht dreams into reality.

Best luxury superyacht builders

1.  amels, netherlands.

Located in Vlissingen, Amels operates the largest superyacht boatyard in the Netherlands, and is known to be one of the best superyacht builders in the world.

Amels has been operating for over 100 years and offers both Full Custom and Limited Editions, ranging from 55 to 83 metres (180 to 272 feet) LOA. Built on a proven platform and delivered in half the time expected of standard construction superyachts, all 20+ Limited Editions projects have so far been delivered on or ahead of contract, with 55-metre (180-foot) Galene among the most recent to emerge from the yard. With several new projects currently under construction, Amels is likely to be among the top superyacht shipyards for many years to come.

2. Benetti, Italy

Founded in 1873 and headquartered in Viareggio, Benetti is the world’s largest builder of superyachts by number built, with a production capacity of 100 units per year.

Most famous for building Sir Philip Green’s 90-metre (295-foot) Lionheart in 2016, 2019 was its breakthrough year with its first 100-metre+ (328-foot+) deliveries of Lana, Luminosity and IJE. This gave Benetti 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th spots on the Top 10 Largest Superyachts Delivered in 2019 . Luminosity is widely believed to be valued in excess of €200,000,000 and is listed with Fraser and Burgess (as of November 2020).

3. Feadship, Netherlands

The home of full-custom superyachts, Feadship is one of the few shipyards worldwide that works to create completely custom yachts. It has worked with superyacht owners since the 19 th century to create one-off luxury motor yachts that are truly unique.

Feadship currently has four shipyard facilities in the Netherlands, with expansion underway at its Amsterdam facility in Western Harbour to offer the ability to build motor yachts as long as 160 metres (525 feet). To date, there are over 250 Feadship yachts in navigation, including 99-metre (324-foot) Madame Gu, 99.95 (327-foot) Moonrise, 101-metre (333-foot) Symphony and 110-metre (361-foot) Anna.

4. Fincantieri Yachts, Italy

Fincantieri Yachts specialises in full-custom luxury pleasure yachts over 70 metres (230 feet) with no upper limit to the size or volume that it can produce. The builder currently has a range of concepts and projects, including 70-metre (230-foot) superyacht Blanche.

Having manufactured in excess of 7,000 vessels in its 230-year history, Fincantieri has a network of 18 shipyards across four continents, two design centres and a research centre, making it one of the largest Western shipyards in the world.

5. Heesen Yachts, Netherlands

Heesen Yachts is known as one of the world’s luxury yacht builders, specialising in custom superyachts in the 30- to 65-metre (98- to 213-foot) range, but with the additional capability of building vessels of 80 metres (262 feet) and above.

With a focus on quality and innovation, Heesen has created many custom yachts with no two yachts the same. Founded in 1978, it was the first Dutch shipyard to employ aluminium for yacht hulls. In its 42 years, it has delivered more than 170 yachts, with aluminium, steel, displacement, semi-displacement and revolutionary fast displacement yachts making up its fleet. Its most famous vessels include the 65-metre (213-foot) Galatica Star, 70-metre (230-foot) Galatica Super Nova and 55-metre (180-foot) Serenity.

6. Lürssen, Germany

Based in Germany, Lürssen is one of the world's leading shipyards for large luxury yacht building, with a focus on excellence in custom-built superyachts. A family-owned shipyard for four generations, it can claim the accolade of building the world’s first motor yacht back in 1886.

Responsible for building more than 13,000 vessels since 1875, Lürssen currently has eight shipyard facilities in Northern Germany, each specialising in a specific size of yacht ranging from 60 to 220 metres (197 to 722 feet) in length. Together these facilities offer 1,125,000 metres squared of space for new builds, as well as refit, repair and maintenance services.

Lürssen builds some of the largest luxury yachts in the world, including the iconic Azzam, the world’s current largest superyacht at 180 metres (590 feet) LOA.

7. Nobiskrug, Germany

Having just celebrated its 115 th anniversary, Nobiskrug began shipbuilding long before the term ‘superyacht’ was even coined. Drawing on its extensive experience in seagoing vessels, the shipyard turned to yacht building in 2000 with the completion of its inaugural superyacht project, the 92-metre (302-foot) Tatoosh. It has since delivered an impressive portfolio of innovative custom-built superyachts, pledging to work on a single project for a single client to build superyachts ready for the 22 nd century. A big statement of intent.

With two facilities in Northern Germany, the boatyard can currently build vessels ranging from 60 to 426 metres (197 to 1398 feet) in length. Over 1000 in-house employees work across the two sites, where they have developed and built numerous award-winning superyachts, including one of the industry’s most talked about vessels, 142-metre (466-foot) Sailing Yacht A.

2020 saw the launch of 80-metre (262-foot) Artefact. At 2,999 GT, Artefact is now the largest 80-metre superyacht by volume in the world and is one of the world’s first superyachts to meet IMO Tier III emissions regulations.

8. Oceanco, Netherlands

Oceanco specialises in building sophisticated custom yachts ranging from 80 to 140 metres (262 to 459 feet) in length. Offering a highly personal service to clients, Oceanco is positioned with state-of-the-art yacht building facilities in the Netherlands, and a design, sales and marketing office in Monaco.

The builder celebrated its first launch in 1992, and almost 30 years later its portfolio now includes well-known superyachts such as the 95-metre (311-foot) Indian Empress, 82-metre (269-foot) Alfa Nero, 88.5-metre (290-foot) Nirvana and 91.5-metre (300-foot) Equanimity.

9. Perini Navi, Italy

The Perini Navi Group is made up of four independent companies that operate in five specific markets: sailing yachts up to 60 metres (197 feet), large sailing yachts more than 60 metres, racing sailing yachts, fast cruising sailing yachts and Picchiotti motor yachts.

To date, the group has launched 58 sailing yachts and four motor yachts. Its track record for innovative sailing yachts has seen it set the standard for excellence in the sector, launching more yachts over 50 metres (164 feet) than any other builder. It's responsible for the iconic 88-metre (288-foot) three-masted schooner Maltese Falcon, which currently holds the title of the sixth largest sailing yacht in the world, and other award-winning sailing yachts, such as the 73-metre (239-foot) Nautilus, 70-metre (229-foot) Badis I and 64-metre (210-foot) Spirit Of The C’s.

10. Royal Huisman, Netherlands

Established in 1884, Royal Huisman is the only shipyard with two entries in the top 10 largest sailing yachts ever built. The 2020 launch of 81-metre (266-foot) Sea Eagle II was its tenth sailing yacht over 50 metres (164 feet) and its biggest yacht since 90-metre (295-foot) Athena in 2004, which was then the largest sailing yacht in the world. Despite being renowned for its luxury performance sailing yachts, Royal Huisman’s largest delivery in 2021 is expected to be “Project 403 PHI”, a featherweight 55-metre (180-foot)+ aluminium motor yacht under 500GT.

15 men brought to military enlistment office after mass brawl in Moscow Oblast

Local security forces brought 15 men to a military enlistment office after a mass brawl at a warehouse of the Russian Wildberries company in Elektrostal, Moscow Oblast on Feb. 8, Russian Telegram channel Shot reported .

29 people were also taken to police stations. Among the arrested were citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

A mass brawl involving over 100 employees and security personnel broke out at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal on Dec. 8.

Kamaz FTL hauler registers NatCar brand

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - National Carrier JSC, the full truckload freight trucking company headed by former Globaltruck CEO Ilya Sattarov that Russian truck maker Kamaz founded this summer, applied to register the brand NatCar at the end of August, the registry of federal intellectual property service Rospatent showed.

The NatCar brand is also mentioned in the recruitment ads of National Carrier, which is actively looking for E-class drivers. It is offering working with this year's model Kamaz diesel trucks from the flagship K5 line and new dry goods (curtainsider) and refrigerated trailers.

National Carrier was founded on July 7 in Moscow with charter capital of 1 billion rubles, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. The company registered two branches in early August, in Yekaterinburg and Elektrostal, Moscow Region. The company specializes in truck logistics and associated activities, including digitization processes.

A spokesman for National Carrier told Interfax earlier that the company plans to provide FTL trucking services using its own fleet, "as well as the resources of hired truckers." The company's fleet will initially consist of 400 semi-trailer trucks with a 50/50 ratio of curtainside to refrigerated trailers, and it plans to primarily operate on domestic routes, he said.

The company has preliminary agreements with major customers among marketplaces and retailers in the FMCG and DIY segments, the spokesman said. Strong demand for trucking services is expected toward the end of the year, so there is interest from customers, he said.

Kamaz marketing director Ashot Arutyunyan announced at the International Moscow Automotive Forum at the end of August that the truck maker was the principal investor in National Carrier. He did not comment on the new company's shareholder structure, but said it is a Kamaz startup.
