Azimut introduces magellano 60 with expanded cockpit.

Azimut premieres the Magellano 60 and Verve 48 yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 , which runs from September 12th to 17th, 2023. Azimut tapped yacht designers Ken Freivokh and Francesco Struglia to work on the interiors and exteriors of the Magellano 60 and Verve 48, respectively. In their design ethos, maximizing space and its uses come to the forefront, as seen in the Magellano 60’s expanded cockpit and stern that can be transformed into a terrace and dining area and the Verve 48’s additional outboard that folds outward for an extended leisure area.

Inside Azimut’s triple-deck Magellano 60, the cockpit acts as an extension of the large lounge on the main deck. Its stern can be converted into a terrace with a transparent parapet that overlooks the water, and a concealed table can be raised to transform the space into the yacht’s dining area. Ken Freivokh’s exterior design complements the interior’s floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the yacht, providing panoramic views. The Magellano 60 also features a Dual Mode semi-planning hull, which enables cruising at both low and high speeds, attuning the yacht’s performance based on the impact of the waves.

Alongside the Magellano 60, the Verve 48 makes its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Dubbed the ‘sport weekender,’ this Azimut speeder comes with a larger stern area, integrated with two ladders to allow passengers to take a quick dive in the ocean. Francesco Struglia goes further with the design of the Azimut yacht and even adds a swimming platform that opens up externally, constructing a foldable platform attached to the water vehicle.

Visually, Verve 48 presents an enveloping hardtop that optionally features an opening tempered glass insert that lets the light and air spill through to the anchor. The speeder can cruise at a maximum speed of 92 km/h, thanks to its three 600-horsepower Mercury V12s, with fuel consumption reduced by up to 15 percent. Azimut claims that the noise on board is also reduced by up to 10 decibels compared to its predecessor, the Verve 47, and that passengers can barely hear the sound of the engines once they are in the vehicle.

Sport yacht S7 shows up on water for the first time

In the same yachting event, Azimut features its sport yacht S7 for the first time on the water. The newcomer motoryacht exudes sporty look, conferred through the design by Alberto Mancini – who also designed Seadeck’s hybrid motoryachts – and the creative boutique Yachtique. Lowering carbon emission is at the heart of the vehicle, so the 22-meter cruiser gets 3 Volvo IPS engines and optimized hull lines, designed in collaboration with P.D. Ausonio Naval Architecture.

Azimut says that the combination of the optimized exterior and the engines enable S7 to reduce carbon emissions by up to 30 percent at the most frequent speeds of use compared to a boat of the same weight and size with a traditional hard-chine hull and shaft line. Magellano 60, Verve 48, and S7 will remain at the Cannes Yachting Festival until September 17th, 2023 for public viewing.

Azimut presents its low emission yachts at the Cannes

Azimut opens the yachting season and presents 16 models at the 44th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, including three eagerly awaited premieres: the two new generation superyachts Grande 26M and Grande 36M and the Magellano 30M crossover coupe.

Committed for over ten years to reducing emissions through a combination of three key factors – weight reduction by using carbon fibre, research into increasingly efficient hulls, and alternative propulsion systems – Azimut pioneered the approach to sustainability issues with the creation of the family of Low Emission Yachts, which now includes a remarkable 50% of the models in the range.

For Azimut, the benchmark for including new models in this family is “20% less” emissions compared to the market average.

Grande 26M. Azimut was the first brand to believe in Pod propulsion systems, today’s market-beating technology.  Drawing on past experience, for Grande 26M the Yard developed the new Pod 4600 propulsion system in partnership with ZF and installed it for the first time on the new Grande line flagship. The system, combined with a 30% lighter superstructure achieved through the extensive use of carbon fibre, delivers 20% lower fuel consumption than boats the same size at the most frequently set speeds.

Grande 26M is the result of the ambitious project to set a new benchmark in this size category and offer the same features as a mega yacht. This has been achieved thanks to five cabins, including the full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, and separate flows for guests and crew, who have quarters located in the bow to guarantee absolute privacy, as is the case on superyachts.

Another stunning feature is the remarkable Deck2Deck™ Terrace, developed around the revolutionary new feature launched on the market by the range flagship, Grande Trideck: a terrace that looks out to sea from the water’s edge. The Deck2Deck™ Terrace is obtained by extending the transom, which can fold up to transform the cockpit into a spacious terrace suspended between the sea and the sky, for use either as a lounge space or a dining area with a walkaround table.

The exterior styling is penned by the unmistakable hand of Alberto Mancini, while the interiors are designed by Achille Salvagni.

Grande 36M features the stunning Infinity Skydeck concept, the first upper deck that runs on the same level from the stern to the tip of the bow. This revolutionizes the traditional layout and creates an area that didn’t exist before on boats this size. In addition, the fully recessed glazed surfaces in the skylounge extend the space out into infinity, transforming the upper deck into a glass house that can be opened on three sides.

Grande 36M forms part of the Low Emission Yacht range thanks to synergy between the high-efficiency D2P® Displacement-to-Planing hull, designed by P.L. AUSONIO Naval Architecture in conjunction with the Yard’s research and development office, and extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce the weight of the superstructure. These innovative design features introduced by Azimut make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.

In this case too, the exterior styling is by Alberto Mancini, while the interior design is by Achille Salvagni.

Magellano 30M. Inspired by the culture of trawlers designed for long-range voyages, Azimut interprets this model with a contemporary twist and, as far back as 2007, developed the concept of the first Crossover in the history of yachting, revolutionizing the experience of navigation by introducing a product category that didn’t exist before.

The Magellano line meets the needs of a contemporary owner who loves travelling, with the two speed modes, the latest-generation high-efficiency hull, and a design of rare sophistication.

Hence the choice of UK-based architect Ken Freivokh, the designer who is equally at home working on sailing and motor yachts, and whose elegant style has shaped the exteriors of this crossover coupe with its sleek superstructure.

The creative mind behind the interiors is that of famous architect and designer Vincenzo De Cotiis.

For the first time on a yacht this size, the single helm station makes it possible to break from tradition in the layout, leaving space on the main deck for the generous lounge with a 270-degree view of the sea.

Magellano 30M adapts to a variety of sea conditions thanks to the Dual Mode double chine hull, which compared with traditional hard chine hulls ensures smoother entry into the water and guaranteed efficiency and stability even in rough sea, plus a 20% reduction in emissions. Another feature that ensures seamless contact with the sea and respect for the natural environment around the yacht is Zero Emission Hotel Mode, a stand-by operating state that keeps the onboard systems supplied with power without switching on the generators, for up to four hours during the day and eight hours at night, so the owner and guests can enjoy the sound of silence at anchor.

During the press conference, Azimut anticipates the new S7, which will be presented at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2023.

The S Line family of sportier performance products is also the focus of Azimut’s most advanced research. The high-efficiency hull, carbon superstructure and IPS triple propulsion system reduce the fuel consumption of the new S7 by up to 30% at medium and high speeds.

The exterior styling is designed by Alberto Mancini and the interiors are by the Yachtique division, Azimut|Benetti Group’s interior design atelier.

Visitors will be embarrassed for choice by the huge selection of superyachts on show, including Grande Trideck, Grande 27M, Grande 32 M, Magellano 66, Fly 78, Fly 72, Fly 60, Fly 50, Fly 53, S10, S8, S6, Atlantis 51.

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2021 will be an important demonstration of vitality and energy for Azimut Yachts, which is showing 18 boats at the event, confirming the breadth and variety of the brand’s fleet. Azimut Yachts will have a high-profile presence at the Cannes Yachting Festival, held in the French city from September 7 to 12, where a total of 18 models will be on show, confirming the huge variety offered by the brand’s Collections.

A remarkable four of the yachts taking part – Azimut Grande Trideck, Azimut 68, Azimut 53 and Azimut Magellano 66, all available for visits on board – are world premieres. Each of these vessels corresponds to a different type of ideal owner and a different way of experiencing the space on board and its relationship with the sea. 

Azimut Grande Trideck, the largest yacht ever built by Azimut Yachts and the epitome of the Shipyard’s ability to innovate in terms of design, style and technology, is a 38-metre yacht with three decks. With exterior styling by Alberto Mancini, interiors by Achille Salvagni and a hull by Pierluigi Ausonio, this revolutionary model is designed for a modern owner in search of close contact with the environment and a convivial lifestyle on board. The model’s full name is Azimut Grande Trideck + One, because it adds an innovative, one-of-a-kind “extra deck” to the traditional three, creating the optical effect of a cascade of four staggered terraces descending from the Sundeck to the water’s edge. The result is a model targeted at an owner who loves elegance, but also a casual lifestyle, and is attracted by the possibility of using the exterior decks in different ways depending on the time of day.

Rounding out the “fleet” of Azimut yachts at Cannes will be three models from the Grande Collection – Azimut Grande 27 Metri, Azimut Grande 32 Metri and Azimut Grande 35 Metri -, three models from the S Collection – Azimut S6, Azimut S7 and Azimut S8 -, two models from the Atlantis Collection – Atlantis 45 and Atlantis 51 – and two more from the Magellano Collection – Magellano 43 and Magellano 25 Metri.

Azimut to debut Verve 48 at Cannes

The Italian shipyard’s world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival include the Verve 48 from its outboard series.

Azimut has confirmed that it will debut the Verve 48 along with the Magellano 60 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which will also mark the in-water premiere of the S7 sportbridge model that was unveiled at the Boot Dusseldorf indoor show in January.

An upgrade of the Verve 47, the Verve 48 reveals new developments by Azimut and Francesco Struglia, who designed the interiors and exteriors. The stern area is completely new, larger and integrated with two ladders to easily get into the water, while the yacht features a drop-down bulwark on the port side.

The Verve 48 also reveals a new hard top that’s available with an opening tempered glass insert, which reduces weight and lets in light and air, even at anchor.

Powered by three 600hp Mercury V12s, the Verve 48 can reach up to 50 knots, while fuel consumption during cruising speeds has been reduced by 15 per cent and noise has been reduced by up to 10 decibels compared to the Verve 47.

Azimut Magellano 60

The Magellano 60 is the new entry model for a range that includes the upgraded Magellano 66, Magellano 25M and flagship Magellano 30M.

The new model features an efficient Dual Mode semi-planing hull and is the first Azimut to be used with HVOlution biofuel, which combined to produce a well-to-wake reduction in CO2 emissions of more than 80 per cent compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by diesel .

Designed by Ken Freivokh, who worked on earlier Magellano models and the more recent 25M and 30M, the Magellano 60 features the aft teak louvres on both sides that have become the series’ signature.  

Features include an ‘infinity terrace’ in the aft cockpit, an aft galley and a forward saloon area with a starboard dining area with a sea view through the large windows.

The S7 features an exterior by Alberto Mancini and is the first Azimut to feature an interior by Yachtique. Joining a sport yacht series featuring S6, S8 and S10 models, the 22m S7 is part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht family, combining a hull designed with by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture with the efficient propulsion of three Volvo IPS engines.

Azimut says the S7 has up to 30 per less consumption and CO2 emissions at the most frequent speeds of use compared to a boat of the same weight and size with a traditional hard-chine hull and shaft line . Marine Italia represents Azimut in Hong Kong, Macau, Guangdong, Taiwan and Singapore.

AZIMUT YACHTS: PREVIEWED IN CANNES THE NEW MODELS TO BE LAUNCHED IN THE COMING MONTHS

At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, where the Grande Trideck, Azimut 68, Azimut 53 and the new Magellano 66 debuted, Azimut Yachts took stock of the 2019-2023 five-year plan that sees the brand engaged in the most ambitious program of launches in its history.

In 2022, Azimut will introduce two new models from the Grande Collection, the brand’s flagship range, two models from the Magellano Collection, the crossover line intended for those who want to navigate without limits, and a new Azimut S7, a sports coupe for fast navigation.

In addition, the Azimut Yachts fleet is preparing to welcome “Sea Deck”, a concept that borrows from the experience gained by the Group with Oasis Deck™. “Sea Deck” brings the opening stern beach area to smaller boats, enhancing, with a single feature, the three types of boats – the glamorous dayboat, the sport cruiser, and the family yacht – that have made the brand great in the world.

After an exciting year both in terms of new launches, economic results and orders acquired, Azimut Yachts has chosen the latest Cannes Boat Show, one of the most expected and important events of the season, to take stock of the present and reveal, for the first time, the new projects that will accompany the growth of the yard in the months to come.

The brand’s industrial strategy, which has its backbone in the development of increasingly innovative and visionary products, continues to prove successful and follow a well-defined path: the Azimut Yachts Collections continue to grow, improve and expand. In addition to the four models presented at Cannes (Magellano 66, Azimut 53 and 68, Grande Trideck), the brand will introduce some new products in the coming months with preference for those segments that have proved to be particularly strategic and commercially successful.

The first new yacht to debut will be the Verve 42, to be officially unveiled next fall at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Heir to the success of Verve 47, Verve 42 confirms the winning intuition of Azimut Yachts, which revolutionized the outboard market in the United States with a boat that, in addition to satisfying the American need for power and speed, brings onboard design and a clear Italian imprint, characterized by large and comfortable spaces for moments of relaxation and conviviality.

In the spring of 2022, Magellano 30 Metri will be presented, the result of the shipyard’s renewed collaboration with the winning duo Vincenzo De Cotiis and Ken Freivokh. The crossover yacht, equipped with a dual mode hull, projects the trawler into the future. Brought into vogue by Azimut Yachts in 2009, the Magellano Collection combines the concept of slow navigation with large volumes and elegant independent environments.

As for the Grande Collection, following the premiere of the new flagship Trideck, two new models are scheduled for introduction: a Grande 26 METRI and a Grande 36 METRI.

Grande 26 METRI is proposed as a compact superyacht, capable of offering separate flows between crew and guests, with 5 cabins, including the owner’s cabin on the Main Deck. Grande 36METRI, on the other hand, offers the possibility to choose between different layouts with distinct functionality for each space.

Finally, 2023 brings the introduction of the new and revolutionary concept Sea Deck , a solution that, even in small boats, starting from 50 feet in length, will offer all the beloved characteristics of the most glamorous dayboats, open sport cruisers, and even those of family yachts. Owners will enjoy the large expandable beach area, without sacrificing the eyecatching lines and attractive design.

LOW EMISSION AZIMUTS DEBUT AT CANNES

Azimut’s eagerly awaited new low emission yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.

Azimut opens the yachting season and presents 16 models at the 44th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival , including three eagerly awaited premieres : the two new generation superyachts Grande 26M and Grande 36M and the Magellano 30M crossover coupe.

Committed for over ten years to reducing emissions through a combination of three key factors – weight reduction by using carbon fibre, research into increasingly efficient hulls, and alternative propulsion systems – Azimut pioneered the approach to sustainability issues with the creation of the family of Low Emission Yachts , which now includes a remarkable 50% of the models in the range.

For Azimut, the benchmark for including new models in this family is “20% less” emissions compared to the market average.

Magellano 30M. Inspired by the culture of trawlers designed for long-range voyages, Azimut interprets this model with a contemporary twist and, as far back as 2007, developed the concept of the first Crossover in the history of yachting, revolutionizing the experience of navigation by introducing a product category that didn’t exist before.

The Magellano line meets the needs of a contemporary owner who loves travelling, with the two speed modes , the latest-generation high-efficiency hull , and a design of rare sophistication.

Hence the choice of UK-based architect Ken Freivokh , the designer who is equally at home working on sailing and motor yachts, and whose elegant style has shaped the exteriors of this crossover coupe with its sleek superstructure.

The creative mind behind the interiors is that of famous architect and designer Vincenzo De Cotiis .

For the first time on a yacht this size, the single helm station makes it possible to break from tradition in the layout, leaving space on the main deck for the generous lounge with a 270-degree view of the sea .

Magellano 30M adapts to a variety of sea conditions thanks to the Dual Mode double chine hull , which compared with traditional hard chine hulls ensures smoother entry into the water and guaranteed efficiency and stability even in rough sea, plus a 20% reduction in emissions. Another feature that ensures seamless contact with the sea and respect for the natural environment around the yacht is Zero Emission Hotel Mode , a stand-by operating state that keeps the onboard systems supplied with power without switching on the generators, for up to four hours during the day and eight hours at night, so the owner and guests can enjoy the sound of silence at anchor.

Grande 26M. Azimut was the first brand to believe in Pod propulsion systems, today’s market-beating technology.   Drawing on past experience, for Grande 26M the Yard developed the new Pod 4600 propulsion system in partnership with ZF and installed it for the first time on the new Grande line flagship. The system, combined with a 30% lighter superstructure achieved through the extensive use of carbon fibre, delivers 20% lower fuel consumption than boats the same size at the most frequently set speeds.

Grande 26M is the result of the ambitious project to set a new benchmark in this size category and offer the same features as a mega yacht. This has been achieved thanks to five cabins, including the full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, and separate flows for guests and crew, who have quarters located in the bow to guarantee absolute privacy, as is the case on superyachts.

Another stunning feature is the remarkable Deck2Deck™ Terrace , developed around the revolutionary new feature launched on the market by the range flagship, Grande Trideck: a terrace that looks out to sea from the water’s edge. The Deck2Deck™ Terrace is obtained by extending the transom, which can fold up to transform the cockpit into a spacious terrace suspended between the sea and the sky, for use either as a lounge space or a dining area with a walkaround table.

The exterior styling is penned by the unmistakable hand of Alberto Mancini , while the interiors are designed by Achille Salvagni .

Grande 36M features the stunning Infinity Skydeck concept, the first upper deck that runs on the same level from the stern to the tip of the bow. This revolutionizes the traditional layout and creates an area that didn’t exist before on boats this size. In addition, the fully recessed glazed surfaces in the skylounge extend the space out into infinity, transforming the upper deck into a glass house that can be opened on three sides.

Grande 36M forms part of the Low Emission Yacht range thanks to synergy between the high-efficiency D2P® Displacement-to-Planing hull, designed by P.L. AUSONIO Naval Architecture in conjunction with the Yard’s research and development office, and extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce the weight of the superstructure. These innovative design features introduced by Azimut make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.

In this case too, the exterior styling is by Alberto Mancini , while the interior design is by Achille Salvagni .

During the press conference, Azimut anticipates the new S7 , which will be presented at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2023 .

The S Line family of sportier performance products is also the focus of Azimut’s most advanced research. The high-efficiency hull, carbon superstructure and IPS triple propulsion system reduce the fuel consumption of the new S7 by up to 30% at medium and high speeds.

The exterior styling is designed by Alberto Mancini and the interiors are by the Yachtique division, Azimut|Benetti Group’s interior design atelier.

Visitors will be embarrassed for choice by the huge selection of superyachts on show, including Grande Trideck, Grande 27M, Grande 32 M, Magellano 66, Fly 78, Fly 72, Fly 60, Fly 50, Fly 53, S10, S8, S6, Atlantis 51.
