Welcome to SV Millennial Falcon

Adam and Khiara wanted to live a life less traveled. Their peers surrounding them were focused on getting married, acquiring a mortgage, and having children, but they were not quite ready to join them. They decided to gather up every dollar they had, purchase a boat and chase adventure.

Adam and Khiara departed from Australia in 2018 with a fistful of cash and big dreams. Much like the real Millennium Falcon, their boat needed a lot of work but she’s had solid bones with a good foundation. Adam and Khiara describe their journey so far as a “self-inflicted adventure”. They’ve been progressively refitting the boat throughout their travels with the hopes of circumnavigating the globe.

Their YouTube channel captures their perpetual optimism, persistence and uncanny ability to laugh off any calamity that may ensue. It’s been quite an adventure so far and they plan to continue sailing for as long and as far as possible!

where in the world are we?

By yangotrack.

Thanks to our generous friends at YangoSat you can now track us in real time by way of their awesome service, YangoTrack . (Click here to get a free tracking account too, read below for more details)

When we raise the antennae on our IridiumGo that’s when a ping will appear on the map. In the bottom right corner, click ‘ Show Vlogs ‘ to view where our YouTube videos are filmed!

If you’d like access to our daily passage notes & photos in real time on the map, head over to Patreon & join the crew!

YangoTrack  has been a bit of a game changer for us… Keeping in touch at sea has always been a challenge and after we got the IridiumGo we’d give our number to a few family and friends… and then send them our coordinates. To a non sailor like my parents are, this is somewhat useless (how do you even input that into Google Maps?!)

When we started with YangoTrack we saw this cool red line being drawn on a world map – our route in real time! It was so awesome that we stuck it on our website for the world to see where we were. We then started posting our daily antics while at sea – “Yes, we KNOW we’re going in the wrong direction…It’s called sailing”. It provided a little fun and peace of mind for everyone at home.

We really like the guys at YangoTrack and thoroughly recommend them! Click on the link below to get your own FREE basic map tracking. A premium map (like ours, which includes blogs, photos, videos and weather overlay) is very reasonable priced too!

Sailing Millennial Falcon: 10 Questions for one of YouTube’s Inspiring Sailing Duos

Sailing Millennial Falcon

The Sailing Millennial Falcon Interview

Sailing Millennial Falcon is one of the most popular sailing channels on YouTube, boasting nearly 12 million total views, and with over 83,000 subscribers at the time of this writing (June 2022).

Table of Contents

  • What was life like before sailing full-time?
  • What brought you to sailing?
  • What is your relationship like with sailing? Things you love/hate about sailing?
  • What’s something you wish more of your audience knew more about?
  • Any advice for new or would-be sailors?
  • Out of all the places you’ve sailed, what location is your favorite?
  • How long do you plan to sail as a full-time endeavour?
  • Any hobbies outside of sailing?
  • A convenience onboard you can’t live without?
  • YouTube has been a little dicey lately. How can readers and viewers reach your content if something happens?

1: What was life like before sailing full-time?

A: Khi and I both had full time office jobs in Melbourne Australia – Khi was an Administrative assistant and i was an Engineer.

2: What brought you to sailing?

A: I had grown up on sailboats and had done some racing with my dad for as long as i can remember, once i moved away for university i stopped sailing. Once Khi and i decided to take on this adventure we started racing and chartering to get back up to speed before we took the plunge and flew to the US to buy the Falcon.

3: What is your relationship like with sailing? Things you love/hate about sailing?

A: I love sailing, Khi enjoys the travel aspect of the sailing as apposed to the mere sailing.

4: What’s something you wish more of your audience knew more about?

A: Just how much hard work goes on when the camera is off. I think lots of people think these videos make themselves and were out here on a never ending vacation. I love this lifestyle and making videos, but i do consider it a job as well and sometimes it’s tough.

5: Any advice for new or would-be sailors?

A: learn to notice things. sailing is 90% noticing things. a luffing sail or a odd rumble in the engine. If you become hyper aware of whats going on around you you can often catch things before they become a problem. No one ever got in trouble for being too well prepared.

6: Out of all the places you’ve sailed, what location is your favorite?

A: the sailing itself isn’t the best, but the Azores were incredibly beautiful and the people were lovely.

7: How long do you plan to sail as a full-time endeavor?

A: As long as i can keep food on the table and the boat afloat. I consider this a career now. We will have to evolve, expand and change with the times but sailing and sailboats are a pretty big part of my life now.

8: Any hobbies outside of sailing?

A: Khiara considers varnishing her hobby? Does than count.

9: A convenience onboard that you can’t live without?

A: It sounds really lame but the Dewalt multi tool is something that i use often… ours broke for a while and there was no other tool that i more often wished i had. Khi would answer her memory foam mattress overlay.

10: YouTube has been a little dicey lately. How can readers and viewers reach you and your content if something happens?

A: Pray that YT doesn’t die! Its hosting all of the videos if it goes they go with it! you can also find us at sailingmillennialfalcon.com [and] patreon.com/Sailingmillennialfalcon

Sailing Millennial Falcon: Boat, Net Worth and YouTube Earnings (2023)

Everything you always wanted to know.

Joshua Smith

Founder and Editor at Cruising Freedom

This is the definitive guide on Sailing Millennial Falcon for 2023.

Over the last couple of years, I have spent 23 hours watching and researching everything I could about Sailing Millennial Falcon as I love their down-to-earth videos.

Yes, I really am obsessed with my fellow Australians, Adam and Khiara!

You’re about to discover:

➔ How Adam and Khiara afforded their yacht

➔ How they make their money today

➔ What boat they have and its upgrades

➔ How you can start crossing oceans

So you’ve definitely come to the right place.

Before we start, a quick introduction from me…

The Cruising Freedom Author

Ahoy, Matey! I’m Joshua from Australia.

I’ve built the perfect business to sail the world.

A business model which can allow me to:

➜ Own a catamaran debt-free

➜ Go for weeks without WIFI

➜ Create semi-passive income

➜ Inspire others to dream big

But more on that later… 🙂

Sailing Millennial Falcon FAQs (April 2023)

S/V Millennial Falcon

Crew Members

Adam Seeber (age 33) from Perth, Australia

Khiara Parker (age 32) from the United Kingdom

They met as housemates in Melbourne back in 2015 and fell in love…staying together ever-since.

Before sailing, they have travelled to Japan, Chile, Peru and have road-tripped around Australia.

S/V Millennial Falcon, often called Millie for short, is a 1981 Tanyana Vancouver 42-foot cutter rig yacht.

Designed as a true blue ocean cruiser, more than 200 of these yachts have been built in Taiwan.

Adam and Khiara have upgraded their boat with:

➔ Isotherm VE 150 electric fridge

➔ 6x 100-watt flexible solar panels

➔ 2x 100-watt Renogy solar panels

➔ Tri Star MPPT charge controller

➔ B&G Vulcan 12 Chartplotter + Halo20 Radar

➔ 10ft AB R.I.B. and 9.9hp Honda outboard

➔ Rocna 20kg anchor, 200ft chain and new windlass

➔ Garhauer mast blocks, cleats and deck organisers

➔ Iridium Go and Bad Boy Xtreme N WIFI antennae

Adam and Khiara are in Puerto Rico after completing the Atlantic Circuit.

Past Cruising

Sailing Millennial Falcon have explored in:

➔ The Bahamas

➔ The Caribbean

➔ The United States

Surprisingly, they haven’t sailed in Australia as yet.

Affording It

This couple certainly didn’t come from rich parents.

Adam and Khiara worked for almost a decade each in full-time jobs, originally planning to buy a house.

They aren’t married, but they are engaged. They spent their wedding money on their boat purchase.

Their wedding is planned to be in the next 1-2 years.

YouTubers typically do well for themselves.

As of 2023, Sailing Millennial Falcon has a net worth of $975,000 USD. This is based on the value of their boat and online business.

They are quite conservative and only spend what they need.

Making Loot

They’re full-time content creators.

Sailing Millennial Falcon makes approximately $7,520 USD per month on YouTube.

Their various income streams include:

➔ Amazon affiliate links under their videos and on their website to camera and sailing equipment

➔ Paypal donations from their loyal subscribers

➔ Patreon monthly subscribers

➔ Sales of SMF merch including hats and shirts

➔ Advertising revenue from their YouTube channel

Collaborations

Sailing Millennial Falcon has not collaborated with any other YouTubers, but Sailing La Vagabonde is on the cards for next year.

Similarities can be made between them and Sailing Yacht Florence .

They have collaborated with Dick Beaumont from Kraken Yachts with a very engaging interview.

Dick previously owned a Tanyana and sailed around the world with his family before starting Kraken Yachts.

Big Moments

Adam and Khiara haven’t had any drama moments in their 3 years of world cruising.

They don’t rely on clickbait and emotional stories to drive attention. Just pure renovations and sailing.

Future Plans

They are exploring the Caribbean throughout 2022.

Key Takeaways

What can we learn from my fellow Australians?

➔ It’s OK to spend your wedding money on a yacht 😜

➔ Give YouTube audiences what they want – sailing and problem-solving for budget-conscious folk

➔ Don’t be afraid to make money online

➔ Take each and every day as it comes

➔ Opportunities are everywhere. We just need to know where to look.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Adam and Khiara since I found them in 2018.

Today in 2023, their adventures remain genuine and relatable to us ordinary folk.

And they remind us that world cruising is more accessible than we might think.

Create Your Own Cruising Freedom

Hey! 😃 it’s Joshua again…

I’ve been very inspired by Sailing Millennial Falcon and their travels…

Some say I’m obsessed, but sailing the world is my childhood dream.

They’re living the dream, but that dream isn’t actually that far away.

I mentioned earlier about discovering the #1 cruising business model.

With this exciting opportunity, I’ll be able to:

➜ Generate a sustainable full-time income through learning basic skills

➜ Fund the purchase of my first sailing catamaran without any loans

➜ Do it without selling to friends and family (I found a better solution!)

➜ Share my lifetime passion for sailing, cruising and global adventures

Keen to discover more? Jump on the free training right now. 👨🏻‍💻

(I share more about it on the next page…🙂)
